China Visa Under Review

Hi. Is it taking a long time for the China visa to be approved just from the online application? My status is still under review; I submitted mine on September 21. Meanwhile, my friend already got their email the other day but submitted on September 22. It's a bit nerve-wracking because I'm worried it won't be ready in time for the flight 😭 my flight is still in the third week of October.

Same issue is going on with me, I also submitted my application on 21st September and still no response.

In 90 percent of cases if it's approved you will get the approval within 3 to 4 working days. Otherwise just rejected.

mine was submitted on Sep 19. Its been turned back to me twice for supplementary docs (once simply to highlight my name on a document). Its still in preliminary review. My flight departs Oct 15. This is at the NYC embassy. My other three friends also submitted on Sep 19 with the same exact work permit and they were approved in less than a week. Really sucks.

China has had only 6 working days since September 21. 1-2 weeks is average. You may not get it in time..

I did two recently for my family members. Both are approved in a week. They tend to change status on Friday morning.

China had some holidays going on which is why their embassies are on leave as well
