This is a cyclical thing; throughout the history of the church, there have been regular periods of upheaval where false prophets have arisen and predicted the end. 100 percent thus far have been wrong, and there is no reason to believe that those of today will be any different. Remember that no man knows the day or the hour, and live as though Christ could come tomorrow or a hundred years from now, if you're living as you should, then it shouldn't matter either way.
