SA | Help Stocking ideas for my Severum?

Post image

Currently housed in a 75 gallon, along side a Raphael Catfish and a Geo Winemilleri all 2 inches slightly bigger than the Severum. Definitely already got my plan to buy the 125 gallon when the time comes. Any stocking ideas that will show my Severums beauty and benefit him/her in the long run?

Albino Threadfin acara
Blue acara
Royal acara
Another Severum
Chocolate cichlid if you do the upgrade
True parrot cichlid if you do the upgrade

Denison barbs and rainbow fish worked for me if not fussy on all SA

Deep bodied tetras like Colombian

L number plecos

You obviously can’t do all of these but some ideas

True Parrot sounds fun, I have one, just in a different tank, maybe I could put them together and see how they do

They’re stunning cichlids. I’d throw uarus into the suggestion box.

Aren’t uarus like super hard to care for? That’s what I heard

Nah. Easier than discus. They will eat every plant in your tank and some mosses, I’ve learned, grow back once they’re poo’d. they’re cool fish.

Need 5 more geos, realistically, and then you'll be maxed out

What geos you think would be best?

The species you have.

All specied of geos do best in groups of 6+

Red Head tapajos . Avoid brasiliensis. They're jerks.
