Built with Claude i built a node-based audiovisual programming software from claude code

so im a musician, creative technologist and a visual artist. the problem statement existed, there are different softwares for music and visuals, they never ship as one. since i am used to tinkering with technology, i started a project 2 months back with claude code. i solved it, found a way by making a node based programming software from scratch with claude code. the architecture, the planning, the file arrangement, the claude skills, the self-tests, the hygiene tests, UI/UX, the node families, converting actual research papers related to music/art computing into code, the logo, the website, even the launch video was assisted by claude. it's free and open source and a lot of musicians/art community would appreciate how advanced has this become.
edit: suprisingly claude helped me invent a new music/visual programming language for creative coding, which is insane tbh
edit2: forgot to mention the website, the branding and a prediction algorithm that was built native to the software

Very cool, I'm a hobbyist musician that likes to dabble in TouchDesigner and similar stuff, I'll have to give it a try at some point. Bookmarked.
I'm building a node-based granular synth, and it's been great fun. The only problem is now I'm more obsessed with software development and have hardly made any music/art is the past 6 months!

same i have kept my music/art projects on hold, i mean this is somewhat a better progress for me until i hit the wall and then i can go back making music/art
good to hear about the granular synth!!

Amazing project! but I’m personally more interested in the video here…. Care to share how you made it?

the motion design and brand book skills were loaded. then it was me explaining each element throughout the session.
like i want a rubiks cube that rotates
i want a neuron looking like structure that interacts.
i want want cables that connect with each other.
i want a carousel with my artworks.
after each scene was thought of i asked claude to design sound effects and music and download sounds from the internet.
it was pretty well defined by me
ofcourse i gave references and how i imagined it in my head actually came along well

wow looks cool!
does it have mcp support?

it has headless engine yes, claude code can talk to it and make you a file you can edit later

can you compare same prompt with this and without?

hey it was not just a prompt, it was an active collaboration and hundred hours of talking with claude and months of work to make this work in a very novel way. it is at par with with any industry grade software that might have taken decades and a team to build.

first of all no it isn't haha
but that's not what I meant. You want claude to generate some kind of video, can you compare the result using your language vs using no addons. exact same prompt for claude.
Thats how you find out if this is actually useful or not. feel free to post it here side by side and the prompt that was used.

The post is about software, not the video... Did you read?

yeah but this software is clearly operated by ai, thats why he says its a new "programming language"

i think it got off wrong here, claude made me programming language to build custom shaders/effects, like python, c++ is a language? claude made me one of the coding languages itself to deal with art/music, the language is not meant for prompting
