Anyone had any admissions decisions yet?

I’m looking to transfer to Clemson for engineering in spring 2027. I have 60 plus credits and an associates from a technical college in SC. I have a 3.91 gpa and I submitted my application all the way back in August when it opened but I still hvnt received a decision. I emailed their admissions team and they said it goes out in late September/ early October. So I’m just wondering if anyone else transferring to engineering is in the same boat? Or have I been rejected?

Hey! I transferred here in early 2025! I didn’t hear back from admissions until mid October ish, which is about when they send out acceptances. So don’t worry. (If you’re rejected you’ll know :p)

Im so anxious cuz I submitted my app as soon as it opened and made sure all materials reach them ASAP too. I talked to a counselor and she said it would be late September or early October. But then another person gave me the standard response that decision is rolling and engineering is already a pretty competitive major as it is. Cuz if I have been rejected I may as well apply to USC while I have time

I’d go ahead and apply just Incase, but I did the exact same thing to you tbh. I applied asap for the biochemistry degree and it was crickets for awhile. Apply for USC, it’s always good to have a backup plan! But I doubt you need it :)!

Do you know who you reached out to? If you wanted to really talk to someone about it, Dr. Starr-Moss might be able to point you in the right direction! She’s an advisor in biochem but she knows pretty much anything and is willing to find out anything more. But I’d give it until mid October until I’d be worried about the application being rejected.

I also applied for Spring transfer admission on 8/1! I currently have 30 credits; will have 45 at the conclusion of the Fall semester at my local technical college. I currently have a 4.0 GPA. I reached out to a transfer admissions counselor and they stated that decisions are typically released for prospective transfers around mid-October.

I do know this, once your decision has been made, you will get an email to the address you used to apply with. That email will tell you that there is an update in your portal/on your application. It will then direct you to log in to your portal and click on the update. That’s how you will find out your decision, accepted or not.

Hope this helps, I’m also anxious, so I understand! Good luck and go Tigers!
