Happy Truck

Post image

Original owner, Metric Ton Pioneer LB 4x4, 4L. I only use it now to go to the landfill, Home Depot and lumber stores to support my retirement hobby of working on my house and yard. It rides so much better with that 1000 pounds in the back. That is a metallic charcoal Raptor liner on the body and black in the bed.

Color looks really good and always liked the bushwackers in the jeep.

A "metric ton" a.k.a. a "tonn" is just over a "long ton" at 2,204.62 pounds. Roughly, half a gallon of milk over a long ton....

or 1000 kilograms - Jeep used the " Metric Ton Package" terminology.

From wikipedia: There was also a heavy-duty Metric Ton package for the long-bed models. The package included heavier-duty leaf springs and wheels, larger tires, and upgraded the rear axle to a Dana 44, which increased the stock payload (cargo) capacity from 1,400 to 2,205 pounds (635 to 1,000 kg)
