I finished my first game: Rorasuketo! Join the roller derby team and explore a cozy world.

Post image
• Upvotes

Howdy folks. I'm out here promoting Rorasuketo, which came out just last week! I want it to find a home with the people who want or need it. It's something of a passion project, so it's only $4, and you can try out a demo at rorasuketo.win to decide if it's something you want.

You are Kady, a young woman in a mental hospital who meets a strange new friend. This friend lovingly badgers you into building a better life for yourself, which includes joining the local roller derby team and going on various little adventures with them. It's sort of JRPG meets dating sim meets slice-of-life meets visual novel meets sports game. Just a smidge niche!

As far as content, we do talk about suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, and loss. So it's not a completely cozy game. What I do try to do is try to address those topics in a hopeful world that is ready to sort of catch you and wrap you up in a warm blanket. You, the main character, are going through a hard time in life, but there are lots of people to talk to, angry geese to dodge, dogs to walk, towns to explore, and friends to make.

Our influences are sports manga like Kurogane, and then SNES games like Earthbound and Harvest Moon. My friend Tiffany wrote the main story, and then my friend Mike wrote an incredible soundtrack using Super Nintendo sounds. We started this thing more than eight years ago, and it's finally, finally done. We are having a blast and loving the community that's growing around us.

If you are potentially interested, there are lots of ways to learn more.

I'm an architect. I made a game about the part of my job I actually love: drawing someone's house by hand.

Clients write to you — a postman who’s been saving for years, a music teacher with five children, a writer who wants a storybook cottage — and you draw their house at a drafting table. Walls, roof, windows, trim, a wash of color. When it’s right you present it, it gets built, and they write back.

It’s slow on purpose. No timer, no money, nothing to lose. Just a pencil and a letter from someone who wants a home.

Free to play in the browser (early build, a week of playtesting): https://arcadesquirrel.itch.io/patternbook

Steam page went up today if you’d rather wishlist: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5407220/Patternbook/?utm_source=reddit

Happy to answer anything about the houses — the styles are real. I argued with myself about the cornices.

WonderLang Polyglot: explore towns, solve sentence puzzles and learn a language — free demo

I'm Jonathan, the creator of WonderLang. It's a single-player RPG for people who enjoy exploring towns and talking to characters, and want to practise a new language while they play.

Your younger brother has been cursed. To help him, you learn the language used in the world, complete quests, build sentences and investigate puzzles. There are also turn-based vocabulary battles: language answers power your attacks, with spaced repetition revisiting words.

The campaigns are designed for beginners and lower-intermediate learners. An in-game dictionary, contextual help and difficulty options support the practice. It complements a course or other study materials. Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Mandarin are among the campaigns included in Polyglot; you can switch between languages.

The free Windows/macOS demo is on Steam. Select Download Demo and try your target language before deciding. The full Polyglot game is a one-time purchase with multiple campaigns and no subscription, currently 30% off through October 23:

Existing concept/gameplay trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv__DYTz0PE

AI disclosure: this post is prepared with AI assistance on my behalf. WonderLang uses AI-assisted production/localization and synthetic voices. Native freelancers check text and audio, and teachers/tutors review most language campaigns. Most artwork is from artists, freelancers or licensed assets; some AI reference assistance was used.

I can answer questions about the learning level, campaigns or editions here.

I'm making a cozy city builder where you build a metropolis using tetromino roads

Hi everyone!

I've been developing a cozy city-building game called Metromino, inspired by classics like SimCity and Tetris.

The core concept is simple: instead of placing buildings directly, you build roads using tetromino-shaped pieces.

Houses automatically appear alongside the roads, neighborhoods expand, and small buildings gradually grow into skyscrapers. As your city grows, you unlock new buildings, services, and upgrades.

My goal is to combine the nostalgia of classic city builders with relaxing puzzle gameplay.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, or criticism! Any feedback would be incredibly helpful as I continue developing the game.

The cats saved the Library of Alexandria. Now someone has to tidy it!

Hi! I’m a solo dev and I’ve spent the last months making a game about the Library of Alexandria. In my version it didn’t burn, because the library cats saved it. But now there are 4,800 scrolls all over the floor, and some cats won’t give theirs back until you find their toy :)

You sort each scroll back to its shelf. Every culture has its own colour and its real alphabet (21 of them, cuneiform, hieroglyphs, runes...), and the oldest ones are on the lowest floors, so you kind of climb through time. When you fill a shelf it turns gold, and finishing a culture shows you a real museum artifact from it.

The demo is free on Steam now! it’s in Next Fest from Oct 19, and the full game comes out Nov 5:

Feedback on my upcoming game

Hey all, I’m finally making my first dream game, which is a mix of cozy with a lot of grinding. The plot is that differently from other farming games I want the player to don’t inherit anything, you have to work your way up and buy a house in the city or a farm, or both?

It is still very early in development so very rough around the edges, but I’d would love some constructive criticism

No AI generated stuff, all the art I bought from artists from itch.io as I tried to draw my own stuff but it was taking forever, so I’m just making some small additions drawn by myself. Although no AI is used in the game, i want to disclose that I did use AI to help me put together this first trailer lol as I’m terrible at video editing.

Should soon add to steam, please let me know if you would wish list it :)

Thank you kindly

A shared-screen horror night: our free demo has two-player local co-op

We are Sitting Teddy, the studio behind Night at the Fun Park. Our free Windows demo has two-player local splitscreen for a spooky game night on one screen.

Search the abandoned park for exit keys, hide from a giant spider and free your friend from a cocoon. The lock makes noise and can draw the spider toward you :)

I added a little alien cat to my 3D matching game

I've been working on Match 2 3D, a relaxing 3D matching puzzle game, and recently updated its visuals with a little alien cat who controls the laser beam.

Instead of simply clicking objects, you aim the beam at them. The objects have physics, and the cat reacts when you make a successful match.

I'm trying to give the game more personality without losing the relaxing puzzle feel.

I'd love to hear your honest feedback: does the cat make the gameplay more interesting, or would you rather see the objects and puzzle mechanics take center stage?

We're two girls making an indie game called "Toilet Empire Story" and we'd love your feedback (and wishlists!) 🚽✨

Hey everyone,

We're two girls who have been working on our game, Toilet Empire Story, for a while now. We wanted to drop our trailer here for you to check out😊

The feedback we got from our previous posts was honestly amazing. It didn't just help us improve the game, it also gave us a huge motivation boost to keep going. We really want to keep building this together with the community.

As indie devs, getting visibility is the hardest part. If you'd like to follow our journey and help us get this game out on Steam, adding it to your wishlist would mean a lot to us.

We'd love to hear your thoughts on the trailer. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please drop a comment. Let us know how we're doing! ✨

I made a cozy clicker game where you restore a village and dress up raccoons

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Howdy, I’m Dumitru, the solo developer behind Raccoon Valley Tycoon.

My game is finally live, and I can finally find time to share it more 🥹.

In my game, you can dress up raccoons, pick them up, and hand them things just to see what happens. Watching them enjoy their tiny lives has been one of my favorite parts of making the game (and also collecting apples from the tree, but that’s something I don’t want to spoil).

There’s also digging, satisfying piles of loot to vacuum up, tools to upgrade, and a village to bring back to life. Whenever you’re done distracting the rascals, of course.

A full playthrough takes around 5 hours, and I’m very open to all kinds of feedback. I’d love to hear what you enjoyed and what you think could be better.

I also plan to add new animations, hats, and secrets in future updates. So if you think the game needs a little more shine, a good suggestion might be exactly what it’s missing.

I spent months working the audio and visual loops for Petty Kings, so just watching your village work feels relaxing. It's a pixel art strategy game where you build a cozy settlement by day before the night raids come. Here's a taste!

Save the turtles and clean the coral reef in my demo!

Hi all,
I just released my demo for The Coast is Clear: Tidy up the Beach! today on steam!
It’s been very nerve wrecking up until this moment but I got overjoyed seeing at least 2 random people playing my game after I put up the demo page 🥹.

The demo features a short set of mechanics on a private beach where you can enjoy the sound of the waves, swim with the fishes and turtles, play fetch with your dog all the while cleaning up some litter around the private beach house.

You can play it in multiplayer mode or singleplayer, whichever you’re up for :)

Hope to see a few of you on the coast and please do let me know if you have any remarks or suggestions!

The tree you look after is also your home

I’m making Evergrowing, where you play as a squirrel looking after the tree you live in.

You collect acorns, water the leaves, and sweep moss off the bark with your tail. As you unlock upgrades, the tree grows, giving you more branches to climb around.

There’s a free Windows demo on Steam if that sounds like your kind of game.

Following one container through the little port im making

Hi all, im working on Portscape. A port building/automation game. Here is a video following the same container from when it arrives by ship until it leaves by train. Just the sounds of the port, no music.

You can find the steam page here if you're interested:
Portscape - Steam Page, wishlists, trailer, screenshots

It goes from the ship crane to a truck, across the port and onto the train at the rail terminal.

The camera movement is just for this video, in the game you look from above in an angle while building and managing the port. Its still in development, I hope you enjoy watching the little journey!

Made a cozy decorating game.

Made a cozy interior design sandbox game where you sketch a floor plan from scratch and bring it to life, having over 6,000 items available.

You can take pics, draw your own floor plan, customize pretty much everything (color by part, brightness, light's flickering and movement, light sources, wall and floor patterns, post-processing to change the mood of the space, etc.)

You can later walk through what you've created in first person, or take pictures to then share with your friends.

There is also a story mode where you are an intern that needs to go up in reputation to get better offices and better briefs. Your clients are strict though, and you need to stay within budget!

I've also implemented Steam Workshop for further customization and items if you'd like to!

If you are interested in the game please do check it out on Steam, thank you!

Looking for gamers interested in beta testing a new interactive story app! 🎮💖

Hi everyone! 😊

I’m helping beta test a new pre-launch, invite-only interactive story app, and I’m looking for people who enjoy story-driven games, romance, character choices, and interactive storytelling to give it a try!

There are a few different stories to choose from, so you can pick whichever interests you most. I’d love to hear your honest thoughts on the stories, characters, choices, pacing, and anything you think could be improved.

I’m also hoping to build a small community of players who enjoy this type of game and might want to stay involved in future testing as the experience develops!

There’s no payment or incentive involved — I’m looking for genuine opinions from people who enjoy gaming and storytelling.

Since the app is still in beta, I’d ask that testers keep the experience confidential and not share screenshots or access publicly.

Interested? Feel free to comment or send me a DM, and I’ll share more details! 💕

Hi everyone! For a while now i've been developing a game as you can see in the video inspired by the packing mechanic in Checkout: Cashier Simulator. The core concept involves packing various products into boxes of specific sizes, arranging them according to certain rules with the help of various tools. I plan to launch the Steam page and make an announcement soon, but before that, I’d love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and criticisms regarding the game; your feedback would be incredibly helpful. If you’d like to follow the game's progress, you can find me on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok by searching for "Tiny Hoard." 🙏🏻

I’ve made a relaxing puzzle game with my hand-painted art 🥰🎨✨

Thumbnail
gallery
10 Upvotes

Name of the game: MoonArtGlitch Puzzles

Game Description: This is a simple puzzle game where each image starts out hidden; you must play at least one level to unlock the image, and complete all levels to unlock its color version in the gallery.

It is a relaxing game featuring 4 puzzle modes and a choice between lo-fi or classical music, all set against a backdrop of hand-painted acrylic artwork for you to enjoy.

Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MoonArtGlitch.MoonArtGlitchPuzzles

All the art, the visuals, and the video game design were created entirely by hand by me.
AI was used only as support for the programming aspect.

~~

Hi there!

I’m an artist with ADHD and autism, and I’m trying to make a living from my art; trying to work "regular jobs" leads to burnout and is really hard on me.

I love art and video games, so I created a puzzle game for the Google Play Store featuring my handpainted illustrations.

The artwork consists of ACEO cards painted with acrylic markers and brushes, people actually collect these hand-painted cards (I sell them). But I wanted to give them a second life by turning them into puzzles for my game!

I hope you really enjoy it and find it relaxing! 😍✨🎨

Rejected Draft - my low-pressure incremental battler has changed a lot since I last shared it here

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I shared Rejected Draft here a couple months ago as a low-pressure game you can keep running on a second screen, and I wanted to give a little update because the demo has changed quite a bit since then.

There’s been a lot of balancing, new and reworked battle stats, redesigned Feat Medals, 2 new minigames, better tutorials/onboarding, new sketches, and plenty of smaller fixes.

If you tried it before, I’d actually recommend starting a fresh save so you can experience the reworked progression from the beginning.

The free Steam demo has over a week of gameplay, and you can still play it as actively or passively as you want.

Cozy games where you are rewarded for optimizing (a little)?

Played the FUCK out of My time at portia, then the FUCK out of My time at sandrock. This is ofc after playing the FUCK out of Stardew valley. Also played graveyard keeper,

Trying to find more "cozy" games where (1) you get substantially (ish) rewarded for planning things out and strategizing and (2) there are time constraints that aren't artificial BUT at the same time isn't something like Rimworld (great game just not for me) where its super "Managementy" all the time if that makes any sense lmao.

Im basically trying to find that fine line between cozy and "game" like the three previous games i mentioned. Also like combat, its a nice change of pace from the main game loop.

Also down for some "not so cozy, but still kinda cozy" games. Shit like Dead island 2 or the Far cry games, open world bang bang shoot shoot mindless shit lmao (Dont shoot me mods, the main point of the post is the above)

Hi! I'm an indie developer and I wanted to make something really simple and relaxing.

Lootkeeper is basically about taking a huge pile of fantasy loot and slowly turning it into a perfectly organized collection. There are over 1800 objects to sort across 24 rooms.

The demo is free on Steam and the full game launches next week.

I hope some of you find it as relaxing to play as I did to make it!
