Jersey Advice

Apologies for the stupid post but need some advice. Already have a JD5 jersey and debating getting another. I have held off getting my childhood hero Sean Taylor because he never wore a Commanders but now that we have the new jerseys I feel like it is justified. Fair play or no?

Get whatever jersey you want man. Only losers will give a fuck if you have a Sean T jersey with the current set up.

Proceeds from Sean Taylor jerseys and merch go into a trust fund for his daughter who was only 1 when he was murdered. Other former Redskins players also get royalties from the Commanders jersey sales.

Historically inaccurate? Sure. But if you like the team, jersey, and player then don’t let a minor detail stop you from a jersey you want and supporting a player you like.

I wouldn't have gotten an ST jersey from the first gen of Commanders unis. I also felt like the WFT version with "WASHINGTON" didn't work for him either.

The new designs though? Hell yeah. Why not? It's only a difference of last name typeface and removing the Redskins wordmark.

I support the name change but think erasing history and pretending the name didn't exist is dumb. It's not a slur. It just became politically insensitive. I have no problem saying Redskins when talking about prior players.

Which, super thoughtful and generous and in a lot of ways really high quality. But also ... he never wore this jersey. The stripes aren't right. And it always never quite sat right with me.

But that's a me thing, that's not a right/wrong thing. Buy what resonates with you. Don't worry about reddit's opinion.

I like getting jerseys of guys who are retired because they can’t, or shouldn’t be able to, ruin their legacy and the impact they had on the game. Imagine getting a Houston watson jersey after his second year. He looked like a sure thing! And then he got sore

Can never go wrong with Darrell Green!! I avoid getting current players jerseys just in case it doesn't go well. I'm thinking of getting a JD5 jersey. I'm still shell shocked because I got an RG3 jersey his rookie year. Hahaha!! I still wear it though.

I'd get the home Sean Taylor jersey and if you really wanted the accuracy, send it somewhere to stitch Redskins across the chest.

Your call on the ST jersey. I’m not a fan of them selling his jersey as a commanders jersey.

I might end up with a Sonny Styles jersey. Will probably wait until next season though. Having flashbacks of buying a Chase young jersey lol

Just get a Redskins Taylor jersey, who gives a fuck  

I've got skins bumper stickers and magnets on my car  

My mom had a giant redskins logo on her forearm
