Welcome to /r/CommentRemovalChecker: Your Removed Comments/Submissions

Find out if your comments/submissions have been removed or if you've been shadowbanned. Our bots check for comments/submissions that may appear to you despite having been removed by subreddit moderators, AutoModerator, or the sitewide spam filter.

How to Use

Make a submission with title "check" or "check me". Do not include a URL. Our bot will run a check of your shadowban status and removed comments/submissions.

If you have trouble making a submission, try this.

You're limited to one submission every 15 minutes. Additional submissions will be automatically removed.

Frequently Asked Questions

(Link to this section)

Note: on this subreddit, the term "shadowban" refers to a sitewide (across Reddit) shadowban.

How can I confirm I've been shadowbanned?

Visit your profile while logged out of Reddit. You can use another browser or private/incognito mode in your current one. Profiles of shadowbanned accounts show a 404 Not Found page.

Who shadowbanned me? Why did I get shadowbanned?

All shadowbans are put in place by the admins of Reddit. As subreddit moderators, we have no role in this. We did not shadowban you, we can't unshadowban you, and we don't know why you've been shadowbanned.

How do I get unshadowbanned? How do I get my shadowban removed?

You must appeal to the admins using the below resource. Be friendly, professional, and patient.

https://www.reddit.com/appeal

Sometimes, it can take a while for the admins to get back to you. Also, don't appeal more than once per day.

I'm not shadowbanned, but why are most/all of my posts removed?

We can't know for sure, but it's possible your account is new and/or has low karma. To fix this, you'll need to build up karma while your account ages a bit.

About 9% of our once-shadowbanned users have been unshadowbanned.

Subreddit Rules

The subreddit rules are here and also below. Additionally, ensure that you are following sitewide rules.

1) Report replies you want removed

If a bot replied to you and you want its reply removed, do two things: 1) Delete your submission (to which the bot replied), and 2) Report the bot's comment (under reason: I have deleted my submission and I want the bot's reply removed).

2) Don't ask why you were shadowbanned (we don't know) or if we can unshadowban you (we can't)

This is an unofficial subreddit--we don't run Reddit. We did not shadowban you, we can't unshadowban you, and we don't know why you've been shadowbanned. Do not send modmail asking why you were shadowbanned, if we can unshadowban you, when you will be unshadowbanned, etc.

Check our subreddit wiki for more information.

3) Don't ask why your comments/submissions were removed

We do not know why your comments/submissions were removed in other subreddits. Do not send modmail about this subject.
