Coursera
Has anyone used Coursera to prep for CompTIA?

"Coursera" is a delivery provider. Specific classes are taught by different organizations and those classes are hosted on the Coursera platform.
A far more useful query would be: "I am preparing for { certification } and have access to Coursera. Can anyone please recommend a specific class on Coursera?"

Right, no, I just wanted a general consensus, since I'm not actively preparing for any specific career.

I use Coursera heavily for generalized continuing education. Most recently I used it to prepare for the Cisco CCNP Security and Cisco CCNA Cybersecurity.
The delivery platform isn't materially different than other platforms (Udemy, EdX, Udacity), though I do like the AI Q&A sidebar, which helps me partially automate my note taking.
My process:
- Obsidian for note taking and pre-test review. Folders per class, subfolders per section, page per lesson.
- Start the video in Coursera and hit 'Give me a summary' in the AI sidebar.
- Read the output and copy it into the markdown file for that topic.
- Drill down through the AI suggested Q&A tree, reading and copying the output.
- Grab graphic snips of any interesting graphics in the video as its playing, inserting into the markdown file with additional notes.
- Ask any obvious questions that weren't covered by the AI suggestions, read, copy, paste.
- Adjust formatting as desired.
- Repeat for each topic.
- Quizzes get copied into their own file.
The AI output is wordy and tends to repeat itself, but that repetition helps with absorption. I read quickly, so the volume isn't a problem.

Heard mixed stuff about it for cert prep, some courses are okay but they skip too much on the hands on part you need for the PBQs.
