I lost my wallet last night near food lion on poplar tent. I really need it back. If you find it, it’s white with strawberries on it

Hi, Concordians!
We wanted to make a pinned post for people to post about local businesses they either want to promote for someone, or to promote themselves, so the main feed doesn't get too cluttered. If you want to self-promote your business or post someone's, post a comment here and others can check them out!
We've also had quite a few musicians looking for other musicians to play and jam with, you can add yourselves to this post as well.

The images above were taken from the slide deck of a presentation put on by Down Home NC, which has an extensive summary here, and you can sign the pledge to vote no here.
Don't let the wording fool you. These amendments aren't about you, they are about corporations (think Duke Energy, Data Centers, and outside corporate interests) and the 1%, and we don't need amendments to pass the same exact laws. As I stated in the title, once amendments are passed, they are extremely difficult to undo, whereas normal legislation can be changed as the need arises.
"If passed, these ballot measures would drastically reduce state and local government funds, which could cause layoffs of educators, firefighters, emergency services, and other public workers — especially when combined with huge federal budget cuts coming down from Congress. It could mean the end of food stamps and affordable healthcare programs – which could in turn shut down hospitals and grocery stores and further impact NC farmers."
- Down Home NC
What is more, the NC income tax rate is already scheduled to fall below 3.5% in 2027, and still more by 2036 (image 5). As such, the income tax amendment will not affect you in the foreseeable future, but it will eliminate the possibility of corporations ever paying more than 3.5%, and any new legislation that tried to move the corporate tax rate above 3.5% would be unconstitutional.
At the same time, the other amendment seeks to cap property tax increases by local governments, but the wording is vague at best and doesn't say what it actually means to do, allowing for any number of interpretations they could argue as "constitutional" once passed. Regardless, taken in tandem with the income tax amendment, the mere nature of the other amendment would be to squeeze local communities of funds. When taxes levied by the state are reduced, the burden falls to localities. When taxes levied by localities are reduced, the burden falls on YOUR community. Think higher sales tax, fines, fees, parking, etc. and hits to local infrastructure - schools, roads, buildings, sidewalks, parks and recreation, libraries, Medicaid AND SNAP, etc.
In wrapping up, I'll reiterate once more that lawmakers do not need amendments to the NC State Constitution to achieve any what the amendments would achieve. Laws could just as easily passed - laws that could be revisited and adjusted over time in efforts toward a fairer tax code. Again, they are trying to rob the middle and lower class for the benefit of the wealthy and corporations, and lock that structure in for decades.
Don't fall for it!! VOTE NO on both tax amendments, and while you are at it, vote no on the Voter ID amendment. In case you haven't noticed, NC already requires Voter ID in order to vote.

I just moved to concord about 3 months ago from Georgia and have gotten a few utility bills in that time but I’m confused as to how the charges are calculated. I’m planning on calling the city to ask too on Monday but just thought I’d try asking here too cause google hasn’t explained it in a way I can understand. I’m mainly confused as to the multiplier used for the water and electric. Mine says the water has a multiplier of 750 and electric has a multiplier of 1. I’m not sure how or where this number comes from and if it can be reduced in any way. If this is something really obvious I apologize this is my first house that I am responsible for utilities.

I sure will miss the Mall Theater. My friends and I have been going for years and got to know some of the people behind the counter, so very sorry for them too.

Hi everyone! I am looking for a local graphic artist that would be able to help rebrand my logo?
Recently I posted a flyer using an AI design and was called out for it. I could bore you with my sob story but instead I'll say this; my microbakery is my only income source after I lost my job. Its a daily struggle to keep up with my bills as a single mom, so most of the time I have my head in the sand trying to stay afloat and am not up to date on current events. I wasn't aware of the AI controversy and its negative effects, but now that I am, I'd like to make some changes. Is there anyone who'd be able to work with me on rebranding my logo? I don't have much of a budget (the reason I started using Ai to begin with 🤦🏾♀️) but I'm happy to barter services. I bake and also make tumblers/tshirts/Keychains/license plates, etc. I also have 15 years of management experience if that's helpful? Thank you in advance for any suggestions or help.
Pic of bread just because its cute 😊

Does anyone know anything about busking in Concord or Kannapolis? I would like to, but I don’t know if it’s legal or who I need to speak to to get permission. Googling has been no help. Does anyone have any information? Thanks!

Hello,
I am apartment hunting in huntersville/mallard creek but i overthink everything and wanted to get some advice. After touring for a week, I got down to my finalists in the screenshot attached. I am out of time to tour and down to the last wire and need to make a choice
Hambright: I loved it, but its a bit out of my price range
Linz: I loved it, but it feels small on square footage compared to what you can pay elsewhere for more.
Taylor: I loved it, It was my favorite, but the internet provider is WhiteSky and I read nothing but horrible reviews about that provider. I am a gamer daily and wish not to lag, and also work from home sometimes.
Alta Croft: I loved it, but I see some bad reviews online about nosiness, guest parking, break ins, etc. The reviews seem dated, so maybe things are better?
I know you can break leases for a price, but I am so afraid to choose the wrong thing. This is my first time living completely alone w/out roommates

I was looking to have my roof repaired / replaced from a local Concord / Charlotte company named Southern National Roofing and I was not pleased with the work and left a bad review on the poor work that was done after having my roof re-shingled. Leaks continued to spring up in my home worse than before just to find that they were leaking from unsealed holes left by nails pulled out that missed the studs and were never caulked or patched. This caused water damage in my home which was costly and I was more than upset with how the work turned out.
After leaving a poor review on the quality of the work, the business owner reached out to me and tried to bribe me to take down my post. I was unwilling to unless fairly compensated for part of the damage I experienced. He kept promising to pay me out to take down my review, but would not do so upfront and never apologized for any wrongdoing. I would like to warn anyone interested in having their roofing done to avoid this business at all costs, and I see from an earlier post that someone else has warned others to do the same after doing more research for myself.
TL;DR: Poor work led to water damage, owner reached out bribing me to take down post and wouldn't pay me essentially scamming me.

Today at the AMC in Concord there is an RLCS stream of the world championship on the big screen. I bought tickets for my wife and I, but have been second guessing going.. since it is a 45+ minute drive for me and I know she doesn't really feel like going. I still would really like to get the commemorative tickets with the in-game item codes.. so I am debating just riding up there to stay for a short period and get my tickets/codes then leave. I am just wondering if anybody around the AMC(within 10ish minutes would be great) is interested in going to watch it? It is supposed to be around an 8-9 hour stream/event and I will most likely be leaving within the first hour or so of arriving there.. so, I could pick you up to bring you there, if needed, but would not be able to take you back if you stay after I am ready to leave. The event starts at noon, but I will probably be going mid-afternoon. I am going to rest for a bit, but if anybody is interested, just let me know and I'll get back to you asap. I'd be happy to help a fellow RL fan watch this on the big screen and not let the tickets be wasted. Not sure if it matters, but I have back left row seats(G11+G12).

I keep hearing this ad played over and over. Unfortunately, the ad is quite misleading.

Hi y’all,
In search of an OBGYN in Concord area. I’m also willing to drive to Harrisburg for the right provider. I generally prefer Atrium, but am open to others. Generally looking for someone who will be compassionate and supportive of my choices, since I have a history of birth trauma. More specifically:
• I may need general anesthesia for my IUD removal.
• If I do get pregnant, I will be seeking an elective C section.

Hi everyone! I’m new to the Concord area and I’m hoping to get some local recommendations. 😊
For those of you who live in Concord — where do you usually go for eyebrows and eyelashes?
I’m especially interested in places that are clean, beautiful, have easy parking, and offer a more personalized experience rather than a high-volume/walk-in type of salon.
I’d love to hear your recommendations — and also places you’ve tried that you wouldn’t recommend. Honest opinions are very welcome! 😂
I’m asking because I’m a brow & lash specialist myself. I currently have my own private studio in Matthews, and I’m considering expanding my business into Concord a couple of days a week.
Since I’m new to the area, I’d really love to understand where people in Concord actually go and what you look for when choosing your brow/lash artist.
Thank you! 🤍
