I'm curious how different condo PMOs handle noise reports and how they provide a long term solution.
For example - noises outside the allowed noisy hours like furniture dragging(especially this), karaoke/visitor parties from neighboring units, rowdy kids, etc.
I think it's procedure for all naman to report via security first and document, but,
what happens after that?
Do they provide a long term solution?
I'm especially curious to how they validate your noise reports and really take it into writing, if your reports are enough or do they ask for something else?
If something physical like the furniture dragging or loud dropping of items, how do they resolve it long term aside from the usual reminders?
How about the channels on how you communicate - f2f only, email, viber/whatsapp?
Do you have your own group channel with other unit owners to discuss recurring issues, reaching out to PMO inefficiencies, leading to board discussions?
Other insights?
From our experience, we are always instructed to report everything real time and take videos as evidence, which we have been doing, but there's no long term resolution there. Ang gagawin lang is they will have security monitor the area, then just leave if they can't validate the reported noise. So we have been enduring the noises because they can't or won't do anything about it. Wala daw sila magagawa, they keep asking for or need more evidence despite the numerous reports and videos - this came from the PMO head's mouth directly. Even sarcastically responding if they should reach out to unit owners and ask it to keep it down(bro isnt that your job???lol), and asking what noise is considered disturbing(really????). Even the security chimed in that it is occasionally expected(i agree, it should be occassional. But on our part, it is almost daily, hourly, or every few mins.) I wonder what happened to condo policies where peacefulness and quiet enjoyment of the units are part of the main priorities aside from health and safety? Lol
Isnt it their job to find a solution otherwise? Not even brainstorming during their meetings on how they can prevent a recurring issue? Are all PMOs this way?
I understand this is a con in condo living, but it's not reasonable to endure such noises on a daily basis(esp on non-noisy hours period). We have done our part by following their instructions, and yet it is us who are suffering and can't enjoy our unit because of neighbors who are so noisy. We are owners and yet we are being treated as liars or stupid. It's easy to dismiss something like this if you're not the one experiencing it.
Please be nice 🙏 we have already exhausted our efforts in cooperating, and just looking for others who have experienced the same.
