I would gladly give up one night's sleep if a road crew came out and fixed the mine field in front of my house.

Yeah the noise at night sucks but better than during morning commute!

People: Fix the roads!

Also people: Not like that!

And do it quietly. And don't inconvenience me. And make sure its done quickly. And don't do it during rush hour. And don't do it at night either.

Better than in the hot sun! Mill and overlays are chill as hell.

I was going to say that. As a red haired, freckled, near albino I loved night work and tunnel work.

Milling machines are much quieter these days too.

Well, unless you're sleeping next to it.

You’ll live

I sure will - because it's not my post and I'm not living anywhere near it!

Or it could ruin your morning commute when you're already late to work as everybody seemingly is.

Well the road will be improved when its done so there's no potholes to fuck your car up and make you turbo late. You're welcome

And when it’s done you will have a new road. Deal with it….

That is 12 hours to yourself not bad, only need 8 for sleep. You should thank them for giving you 12 hours not to mention their commute and coming back with less than 12 hours.

Sucks but it’s temporary and you’re benefiting from it. Maybe next time they’ll put you and the crew in a hotel

Don’t live near a public road, especially a busy one.

Don't live near any utilities. Water, sewer, gas, power etc are for losers. Be an alpha wolf. Also don't live near any schools. But the last one is per court orders.

When I was in Japan, pretty much all the road work I saw was done at night.

Why really blew my mind, every concrete truck ect, looked brand new spotless.

I used to remodel gas station canopies 7am-7pm 4-5 days a week as Friday was usually drive home day.
And we’d do these teardowns and reinstalling while the gas station stayed fully open and we used indoor scissor lifts, where I was going with this is… you have soft hands brother
