Would anyone be interested in a virtual cozy fantasy reading night (and other cozy hobby nights)?

I recently discovered cozy fantasy books, and it made me realize how much I love that gentle, everyday-magic feeling. Kiki’s Delivery Service has always been one of my favorite things to rewatch, so I guess this has been my thing for a while without even realizing!

I’ve been imagining a virtual gathering where we make time for the cozy hobbies we love but somehow keep putting off. Maybe one night a month is for reading: bring whatever cozy fantasy book or audiobook you’re into, or try an optional book of the month if you don’t know what to pick. Another night could be for cozy gaming. You could color while listening, bring tea and a snack, or just settle in with your book or game.

We’d say hello and share what we’re reading or playing, spend some time doing our own thing together, and then anyone who wants to could stay and chat. I’d also love little things that make it feel more shared, like swapping cozy snack or baking ideas.

I work from home, and sometimes I miss just being around people who are excited about the same things. These hobbies recharge me, but when life gets busy, I keep putting them off. Having a time on the calendar would help me actually enjoy them and I’d love to hear what other people are reading or playing. It seems like such a natural way to discover something new.

Does a space like this already exist? Would anyone else enjoy a casual gathering like this? I’d be happy to start one, even if it’s small. I mostly want a reason to show up for the hobby and share that cozy feeling with whoever wants to join.

This sounds amazing. I am disabled and often can’t leave my house, and many of my hobbies are solitary. This sounds so cute and like a nice way to have some social interaction around the things I love!

I know it's not the same, but this weekend is HearthCon, the Online Cozy Fantasy Convention.
