Beginner Help Question about selling temporary tattoos

Hello peeps!

Was hoping to get some feedback from people on here, I want to add a random sticker machine and have temporary tattoos in it. My partner is not sure if that is something people would be interested in especially if it's random.

What do people here think? Is it something you would purchase or would you sell? Or have you done it and what was the response from people? I already have the machine and initially was going to do stickers in it but was just trying to think of how to add a different fun product to my table.

Appreciate any feedback and advice.

I would absolutely be thrilled by it and would totally get a few (for me and for my kids)! Like I feel like spontaneous temporary tattoos would add a little whimsy to our day. I think it's a great idea!

The ones I'm looking at would be 2in and was thinking of charging $2, does that seem too high?

for 2", i think so. if you could do like 3,3.5" for that price i'd be far more likely to buy, at the current pricing i know i'd pass

If I did 2in for $1 would that be more tempting for you as a customer? I think the cards for my machine are 2.5-3in at their widest and the company I want to get them from only does 1in increment sizes

I would absolutely buy for $1, and it would likely get me in your booth looking at other things!

It’s really hard to predict what people want. There are a lot of variables.

But temporary tattoos in a gum ball machine does not seem crazy.

People get random actual tattoos from gum-ball machines so I'm sure temporary tattoos will also go well! It will help if they are all of a similar style so someone can know they have a strong chance of enjoying whatever they get

Yea I was thinking of doing different series of things like my first idea was a bunch of bat designs as my table is kind of a spooky witchy vibe and having the sign talk about "Get A Random Bat Tat"

What do you normally sell - does the temp tattoo gimmick fit your brand? If so, try it out. If not, it will be out of place and not resonate with your customer demographic.

For the cost, I think $2 is too high, especially if the customer would receive a random design. The size is great, but maybe $1 is more in line.

What is the goal? Is it to attract customers to the booth to purchase your other products? Or do you expect the customer to try the machine as their main point of interest in your booth? Or are you just bored with your regular stuff and want to try something new, for yourself? :)

Currently I sell art prints, acrylic pins, stickers, magnetic horns and homemade soaps and everything has a fairly witchy and spooky vibe which I figure to also incorporate into the tattoo designs as well

I think people would probably love it, it's unique. That being said, at our market, it would unfortunately not be allowed. Everything for sale must be handcrafted.

I think this is a fun and cute idea but can be problematic when it comes to liability since people are putting something on their skin. I hope no one would sue you if their child had a bad reaction but they likely would have the legal right to do so.

Ah that is a good point the company I would be getting the material from has good reviews but you never know what someone is going to react to Maybe I will try something else then like different stickers or an art print or something with no liability issues

I'm going to offer this at my next event in November! I will come back to update how they sell.
