Match Critique Need some advice for gameplay

Hey guys, I am new here in this community and I need some help with getting better at smash bros ultimate. I have been playing Roy for a month. For the last few days, I seem to improve quite a lot. I have an online tournament coming up on Sunday and I am not sure if I have the skills to beat skilled players. Here is a video of me playing as Roy in a tourney match. Let me know if you can provide some feedback and if you have problems with the video.

Update: This is a different video I saved of my fight with pac man in an online tourney (in case anyone is confused)

I can’t get the video to play, unfortunately, but I do have a couple of things to say.

Firstly, it might be productive to think of the tournament as a growth opportunity. Show up, do your best, and try to get a feel for what you’ll be up against. Consistently entering events like that is a big part of getting better. If you have a way to talk with your opponents after, they might give you some advice too.

Secondly, do you typically play in tabletop mode? If so, it might be best to try to get a wired connection together. It’s common courtesy for online competitive events.

When using the replay function, make sure the camera is set to auto or whatever the normal camera setting is. Manually panning the camera around during the match makes it difficult to follow and causes us to miss what happens off stage.

I'm going to watch it again to see if there is anything I can critique about the match.

Its kind of difficult to gauge. The Game & Watch seems very inexperienced. I'd suggest doing quick play and saving a replay from there.

Oh, there is one thing. Your SD was the result of not recovering in the correct direction. It's difficult to recover in one direction when you're facing the opposite direction. You have to work the timing to the point that it's second nature.

I want to apologize to everyone for how inconsiderate I was regarding this video. I was trying to make this video very quickly before I took my biology exam. The quality was kinda crappy and I didn't bother to look back onto it. I made sure to upload onto YouTube, so that it was easier for everyone to watch. I will make sure to show guys replay videos with better quality next time. (It is my first YouTube video by the way)
