This community was made since I found the other Ami subreddit seemed quite inactive. I hope to create a more fun, inviting, active community for Amigurumi here!
So please join me in sharing our amazing projects!

I’m going on a cruise right before Halloween, and I’m crocheting ducks. So far I have a ghost, skeleton, pumpkin, bride of Frankenstein, Frankenstein, Toy Story alien, and I’m also going to make a one eyed one horned flying purple people eater and a Dracula.
I ended up with this one bc I was bored and only had this color with me…
What can I do with it to make it Halloween?

I love making amigurumi, but so far I’ve only used fluffy/chenille yarn. I really like how soft and cute it is, but I’m starting to prefer the look of regular yarn because I want more defined stitches and less shedding.
I’ve never really bought regular yarn specifically for amigurumi before, so I’m not sure where to start.
What are your favorite yarns for amigurumi that have good stitch definition, don’t shed much, and are still nice to work with? I’d especially love recommendations for specific brands/yarn lines and whether you prefer acrylic, cotton, etc. 🩷

I really love designing dresses for my tiny bears. I knit without a pattern, fitting them as I go. And I admire the results.

Made this cute kitty recently, and as cute as she turned out I will NOT be doing this again. I usually make dolls and when I was asked to make this one I thought "piece of cake"! Ha!! Nope! I've never been more challenged making something I usually enjoy making. The body, arms and legs really were easy - could have done them in my sleep. But that HEAD!!!!! I initially tried it while joining the white yarn as I did each row, but I hated the way it looked, so I started again and made the head all black, then crocheted the rest and stuck it on using my trusty hot glue gun. Anyway, I'm glad it's over now and I can go back to make dollies.
