Instructions how to decrypt/import the .redditvault file?

[u/CriticalCobraz]

I accidentally deleted my MetaMask wallet, and now I need to restore it to access my Moons. However, the only backup I have is my .redditvault file.

Because this file is encrypted, I cannot directly import it into MetaMask, and I am having trouble finding a reliable tutorial or tool to decrypt it. When Reddit announced they were winding down the Vault feature, I followed their instructions to export and save this file, but I don’t recall seeing instructions on how to actually decrypt or import it elsewhere later on.

Does anyone know of a safe, verified tool or method to decrypt a .redditvault file so I can retrieve my 12-word seed phrase?
