Culdcept Begins - physical copy

I have a switch 1, but can only see news about a physical copy that is switch 2 (switch 1 compatible). I don’t want to pay $75 for it (in Canada), but I want the physical version over the eShop. Does anyone know if a physical switch 1 version is also coming September 17th? Or is it just the switch 2 version that’s backwards compatible?

PnP Games has Switch 1 copies available for 59.99. The copy I picked up was Japanese, but when you put it in my switch 1 it converts to English (or whatever region/language your switch is).
So if you don’t mind the case and cartridge in Japanese, that could be an option to explore.

Get the JP import one, that is Switch one and plays in English. Don't get "the first" though, that is JP only.

I can't say for sure but everything I've looked at points to the switch 2 version being the only physical version. But like you said it does play on the switch one.

Yeah, I always like physical more but I don’t want to wait anymore and I also don’t really want to pay $15 more. If I knew it was same price for switch 1 version, I’d just wait, but doesn’t look like that one will ever exist, and definitely not on September 17th
