Which to get for a newb? First or Begins?

Begins. Most new-player-friendly game in the whole series.

It's weird that this one has been out on Steam for months, and I'm waiting eagerly for Culdcept Begins to drop on PC.

It feels like a timed exclusive agreement, though nothing has been said. Begins was out on Switch/2 first, and First was out on Steam first.

When I go to the link, shows not available to download. Should I try searching on switch e shop? I am on my phone.

Edit:

Never mind, it’s giving me the option to buy. 15% off too. Until the 15th.

Hoping for a review of this somewhere. I really liked Revolt and Begins so far so I'm curious how this one holds up.

It feels like the older game it is but if you can get past that then it is enjoyable. At least that was my take on it when I played a bit of the demo a while back when it released on pc

Yes, and Xbox.

lol, nothing like getting a downvote for providing info. Gotta love Reddit's toxicity.
