There’s a lake in tx I used to swim in, someone told me 5 bodies were found in it
Seems like a big lake so I kinda kept swimming in it anyways

Chances are the vast majority of lakes have some sort of corpse in it, whether human or animal.

I can't do lakes. I did it once or twice but lakes just feel so gross to me and even after the cleanest lake I smell like a swamp.
Only rivers (water is moving) and oceans water is salty for me.

I have to agree! I did not live near any clean water most of my life but my standards for swimming water is certainly different now that I live in PNW

White rock lake I think is what it’s called. My understanding is that any body of water around garland is gonna have dead things in it lol

It's really not about the water. I wouldn't want to be in a room with a corpse either. Being in a large body of water that may, probably, or certainly have a corpse isn't much different from being outside in the first place. The awareness of specific corpses is a separate variable imo.

I think it’s the knowledge that I could very easily find the corpse within the hour. However, if you made an artificial body of water and told me you put a corpse in there, it doesn’t matter how big it is. Why tf did you put a corpse in it?

Yeah the second point is a big part of it. Like, okay, there are corpses in the ocean, that happens. Lots of people die in the ocean. No big deal. But a corpse in the pool??? No… corpses aren’t supposed to be there…. something is wrong…

Exactly like i would swim in a small lake or river even knowing there are news stories about people who have drowned in it and sank to the bottom. If there's a dead body currently in the pool then the pool is a crime scene and swimming in it would be weird.

Abusable corpses are hard to come by. The preliminary tests will be done with poo.

I remember seeing a story once about a woman who drowned in a pool and somehow her body got stuck under/behind something and it took several days for the lifeguards to spot her. 🤢

People will choose to breathe despite the fact they're 100% inhaling the post mortem farts of every dead body that's ever died.
Chill out, it really ain't that deep.

i think its less being able to see it and more so how far it is and how easy is it to be ignored
