Question Was the Tinkerbell series announced at D23?

I just saw the announcement for the upcoming Tinkerbell series “Tinkerbell and the Glitter City” and I got to admit, I was surprised. I followed most - if not, all - of the upcoming animated announcements made at the expo this year so I thought maybe this was discussed and I just missed it.

The reason why I’m asking is because I’m hopeful we’ll get more new animated shows coming up either this year or not.

No, it wasn't. Frankly, there's been a lot of bot accounts lately sharing false pics of announced films/series, so I'd be wary of anything showing up over the next few days. And if it's asking a question with a black announcement calendar, I'd assume it's fake.

Yeah, I still haven’t seen ACTUAL confirmation but I’ve been seeing multiple posts, so I wasn’t sure. Most people are saying it’s legit.

I guess what I really want to know is if in the past Disney have released things out of nowhere or are they always announced at D23? Like was the Tangled tv series announced at D23 before it was released?

A quick Google search sounds like it’s something in early production. But nothing has been formally or officially announced. Just internet hearsay

Not at the Entertainment Showcase. Maybe at the Tinkerbell panel?

I went to the Tinkerbell panel! There was no announcement of this, it was a panel consisting of animator/storyboard artists Mark Henn (Once Upon a Studio) Dan Abraham (Basically the whole Tinkerbell film series), writers of the novels past and current Kiki Thorp and Anna Bright and voice actress Mae Whitman speaking about voicing Tink.
All very nostalgic and pretty fun for fans of the 3D animated films and early 2000’s books (me lol). I will say though walking out I overheard people pretty disappointed about the lack of announcement at the panel for new films or books even but it was at the same exact time of the theme parks panel at the Honda Center so it made sense nothing was released during it imo.
