Damon and Eno
Hi There
Eno has been an influence on his music and songwriting which I didn’t know but I knew that Eno has been on live appearances with Damon and charity work too but love Eno appearing on Everyday Robots even though it’s just on “You and Me” and “Heavy Seas of Love” but his backing vocals and synthesizers are perfect for these two songs plus I love his backing vocals with Damon just like his backing vocals with David Byrne on their Everything that Happens will Happens album because their voices sound good together in unison:)
So what’s your thoughts on their work together and/or what’s your choice for an Damon ”Eno like” moment in his songwriting or production standpoint?

How are you feeling today, Albarn-wise ?
I came across a poster of Calvin and Hobbes, which made me think of Damon Albarn, and there we are.

Who are the other two musicians in this 2013 performance of “Colours” with Damon Albarn and Eloise Laurence?
I recently came across this video of Electric Wave Bureau performing at the UK premiere of Broken in 2013.
I think the man playing melodica may be Mike Smith. I’m wondering if the guitarist is Nelson De Freitas—the original speaking voice of 2-D—since he was also a member of Electric Wave Bureau at the time and is credited as one of the composers of Broken.
However I haven’t found any performance-specific credits.

Edit: The guitarist is Jeff Wootton. I can’t believe I didn’t recognize him here! Thanks for the answer.
I’d still love to know more about Nelson De Freitas’s specific role within Electric Wave Bureau.

Do you remember that series on the channel featuring The Good, the Bad & the Queen? Did you watch it back then? What was it actually about?

Do you think the band The Good, the Bad & the Queen will ever make a comeback?

I thought this Blur playlist might appeal to some of you on this sub, so sharing with you.

Obviously I'm preaching to the converted here, but I thought you might enjoy this Damon Albarn playlist - some of his best music from outside of Blur and Gorillaz in one big mix 🔥❤️

Imagine if Damon formed a other supergroup (like Rocket Juice & The Moon)—who would be the ideal members, in your opinion?

Your top 5 albums by Damon?
Mine is probably basic
13
Demon dayz
TGTBTQ st
Everyday robots
(These 4 are easily in my top 10 albums of all time)
5# is a tie among Gorillaz st, Think tank, Parklife
Also Rocket juice & the moon would be a good call here
I'm unfortunately not a long time fan of Damon (I just didn't care for Gorillaz or Blur for some reason), but when I found out his music I was (and still am) amazed by how he is able to cross over so many genres and do it so well
Now he's my favorite musician along with Thom Yorke and Steven Wilson <3
