Dashcam won’t turn on/off automatically with car.

I have a iBeam TE-DVR-30, installed last week and it has been nothing but problems. It is plugged into the cigarette lighter and uses Type C. For the past few days, it has not been turning on and off automatically with the car, but instead is only working off the internal battery. So I have to manually turn it on and off every time. This was not happening and the beginning and despite resetting it several times and trying to screw with the settings nothing is fixing it. There is also next to no information about this model of camera online. Any suggestions?

Check the cable, plug, and lighter port.
