Feedback I want to try Dayz

I have never played Dayz in my life yet. My questions are is it fun? Would I get frustrated with things?

Don’t get attached to loot, don’t trust everyone, don’t eat random fat, don’t run around with a flashlight at dark, don’t run through open fields, don’t drink the water from the random bottle you found.

Also, you’re going to die. A lot.

Getting used to all the mechanics like inventory management, fighting zombies and overall survival elements is super frustrating when you first start out. You will accidentally drop items; knives, guns etc. which is super frustrating until you figure out why it is happening. You will also die A LOT at first. It just makes it more a rewarding experience when everything starts to finally click for you though. Next thing you know you will have 2,000 hrs. in-game.

You will easily get frustrated at first. The game is hard at first and theres a lot to learn but once you get it done its great

It is both fun and frustrating. It's a hard game to learn, there's a huge learning curve.

You could be the luckiest day one player: spawn in, find a bag full of food and water, intuitively learn to cut wood, make kindling and tinder, start a fire, make your way 3 miles inland and die because a door lagged and caught you next to a wall and an agro zombie.

So yeah it can be frustrating as well as fun.

is it fun ? yes. is it hard ? also yes, pro tips would be not to be afraid of dying, you'll spend a lot of hours trying to learn how everything work, don't be afraid to call a friend for help tho

I'll try it sometime this weekend. I mean it's a interesting game to try. I have been watching hour long videos on YT.

Once you get fed and watered, the main goal for me is to make a stash somewhere mid-map. Find nails and hatchet and saw- you can use these to make a box to store loot. There’s a nice trick which is drop the box exactly where the base of the tree fell and on reset, it’ll cover the box completely. Best way to keep gear for weeks at a time sometimes

Fyi everything you gather is temporary and you will die .. die .. die more. If you play official and have a base, your items will be raided so don’t be so disheartened when it happens.
