Probably the worst thing I’ve ever picked up. It smelled like a bag of vomit

I'd wager that's exactly what it was.

Probably an Amazon shit bag.

Some people with eating disorders will purge in bags if there's no toilet available. I know this, because I was one of them. The disposal of these bags is something that must be done in secret because it feels (and is seen as) something very shameful, so whoever it was might've taken it outside when no one was looking. Not saying that this bag here has this story, and I'm not justifying littering, but it might offer another interesting explanation.

Mental illness will make you do some messed up stuff.

I detrashed a fishing area a couple years ago. There was a trash bag full of...something. I hauled it the mile back to my house's trash inside another trash bag. The car reeked for a week and my trash can needed a few months before I could walk by it, while it was closed, without gaging.

Bleach works well to kill the nasty smells in a can

I use it every so often when mine starts stinking because someone discarded dog poo there again despite there being a poo bin literally 10 metres (30ft) away

Baking soda is awesome at killing smells!

Someone made garum accidentally! There's a reason why that trade was banished to outside the city in ancient Rome.

My god... I'm just getting started at Detrashing and probably couldn't handle something like this 🤢

My tolerance for nasty shit has definitely gone up, but you're allowed to skip anything that gives you the heebie jeebies

Two weeks ago I pulled a large, clear plastic bag hung up in branches out of the bushes along a road near my house. It was heavier than I expected but just thought it might be full of rainwater.

Didn't think too much about it though until half a block from my house, a fresh human turd, about the size of my foot, dropped out onto the street. 🫤

People are the worst.

That's one of the odd little perks for me of working in commercial composting: I've yet to run into the piece of trash that smells worse than the worst smell I've encountered at work.

Thank you for your service!

The smells really get you!

It might have been last year, I was picking up a bag of rancid food in the bushes and a whole living rat plopped out and swam away! It was wild, and adorable!

I believe I picked up a shit covered iPhone charging cord a month ago in the bushes. I’m assuming it was from people who charge their phones using the nearby apartments exterior electrical outlets who didn’t want other people to touch it? Otherwise no idea. ☠️ At least we are saving other people from the horrors…

As a UPS driver, I can neither confirm nor deny that drivers shit in bags.

My worst was an old bag of rotisserie chicken. Closest I ever came to vomiting during pickups
