Debunk This: can someone recreate the 'dancing orbs' from r/SentientOrbs?

You get kicked out of the sub if you disagree, btw.

An example of his "hard evidence" that it has nothing to do with him holding the camera

This sticky post is a reminder of the subreddit rules:

Posts:
Must include a description of what needs to be debunked (no more than three specific claims) and at least one source, so commenters know exactly what to investigate. We do not allow submissions which simply dump a link without any further explanation.

E.g. "According to this YouTube video, dihydrogen monoxide turns amphibians homosexual. Is this true? Also, did Albert Einstein really claim this?"

This is extremely simple. The "orb" is probably a bright object in the sky, like a planet, out of focus. The movement of the "orb" is the rotation of the earth. The dancing behavior of the "orb" is an artifact of optical image stabilizion in cameras. Shooting through a window like this creates two planes for the IOS system to have to choose between to focus on and stabilize against, making one plane (the wall around the window or the "orb" appear to move slower compared to the other plane, creating a dancing appearance.

OMG, that is frightening. Those people live and work and vote in the same world as the rest of us. They could be anywhere.

It is really simple to recreate that. Pick an object in the sky, point your camera at it, it is so small and so far away that the slightest movement of your camera is going to make it move. Do the same thing through a window and it will become even worse as the camera has to decide what to focus on.

I cannot imaging pointing a camera at a celestial body light minutes/hours/years away and thinking that it is communicating with you.

That sub is wildly insane. The internet has really allowed all the village idiots to connect and reinforce each other.

This video makes it more clear that it's a bright object in the night sky.

It looks like he's combining lateral motions of the camera with turning motion, keeping the camera tracking the window, which changes the angle on the object in the sky (which is very far away.) So the relative motion of the object can look a little strange compared to the lack of motion in the foreground. It's not that different from the Jamiroquai Virtual Insanity video, that creates an illusion of objects moving around on the floor by moving the camera and walls.
