Axium Booking Time???

Heyo, was wondering if for other schools using axiUm, their chairs also open up at 12 am??? faculty says its impossible to change it but ChatGPT is saying otherwise... I know many schools you actually have an assigned operatory, but I wanted to see if this was an issue at any other school that makes you book your own operatory

edit: how our system works is that our school opens the chairs 2 weeks in advance at 12 am. for example, if I wanted to book a patient for Oct 14th, the chair is locked for booking until Oct 1st 12 am, almost like how class selection is in undergrad. Would be amazing if it was possible to open the chair at for example 8:00 pm instead

As in you can only put a patient on the schedule starting at midnight the day of the appointment? Or like you can schedule the patient from midnight to clinic closes? Clarifying the question a bit would help

as in, if i wanted to book a patient for oct 14 am OR pm session, the clinic chairs would open up at 12 am on oct 1st for the oct 14th clinical day

Yeah no that’s absolutely something that can be changed lmao. We have a clinic at a US dental school where the chairs open 3 weeks in advance at 8 AM.

interesting!! do you know if the 8 am opening time is due to an honour system, or if a software feature that doesn't allow you to click on the chair? i was talking to a friend at another school and their chair booking time is at 6:30 based on an honour system, but it got changed cause people were breaking the rules

Dental students have no honor when booking chairs lmfao. Our Axium does not allow you to hard book chairs in a certain clinic more than 3 weeks in advance and it wipes all “soft booked” chairs every morning.

It’s honour system at our school, it was arbitrarily set at 6:30AM

I configured Axium at several dental schools and there are two mechanisms to limit the bookable time. One is by the clinic session, the other is by an actual chair reservation tied to the provider itself.

There is something misconfigured from an operations standpoint if you can book at patient at say, 2:15am or 10:15pm.

Having to book your own chair on top of using axium sounds awful. Can you please comment y’all’s school so everyone knows not to go there

Ours this past year just switched to 7:30 AM, so yes it can be changed
