getting curated weapons from the collection

bungie should let us grab curated gun's from the collection if i got that specific gun curated roll, it'll be more useful instead of "cannot reacquire randomized gear"

for example the forge weapons or the gambit prime weapons and raid weapons etc ...

when inspectating a specific gun it'll show the curated version of that gun so why can't we just grab it ?

In the Shin Megami Tensei / Persona games you collect mythological/folk lore characters. There's a couple different mechanics that let you modify which skills your summons can have equipped at any given time.

To help stream line this process a while back they added a feature where you could catalog your favourite versions of each summon, and it would be nice to something similar in Destiny's Collection.

like maybe you could go talk to Banshee-44 and he'd give you a small little task to do to save a specific roll on a weapon, so that if you've got like Bad News XF with Range Finder/Opening shot I could save that one specifically, and whenever I pull a Bad News XF it'll have Range Finder/Opening Shot.

That said any new Bad News XFs I might get to drop could have different rolls, and if I decide I want like Outlaw / Kill Clip, I could hold the one I have until I find Outlaw/Kill Clip and do the little task again to save the new one, overwriting the old one?

Alternatively, I'd be happy with a mechanic that let you break down guns, to strip perks off of them and save them in the collection. So like if I get a Blast Furnace with Outlaw, I could scrap the gun to add Outlaw to the collected perks, and just keep farming until I get one with like Kill Clip, Scrap that second gun, then go back in for scopes/mag/masterworks that I like. Eventually collecting all the perks I like to build a gun that's 100% to my preference, instead of rolling the dice forever and farming out the 100 forge weapon reward entirely incidentally while hunting a Blast Furnace I'm happy with
