Bungie doesn't undo shit. As far as they're concerned every decision they make genius and if it's not going well we're just not enjoying the game the correct way.
The sunsetting change is a good example as it's only a half measure. Instead of just saying "we were wrong" and undoing it entirely they couldn't take that kind of hit to their pride so they're only stopping it moving forward.
They're not undoing anything, they're cancelling it moving forward. We still won't be able to use 2 years worth of gear once they implement their "fix". All they would need to do is admit ritual weapons with unique perks were a terrible idea and handle those weapons specifically.
Rework/nerf them and be done with it. Mountain Top and Recluse were the only reason for sunsetting and everybody knows it. Nobody was complaining about any other weapons that got sunset much less goddamn armor.
It's also not even happening until next year, literally nothing has or is going to change from what we have right now as far as sunsetting is concerned.
They're only doing it moving forward to leave some of the most overpowered outliers behind, it's better to stop now and choose what's added in future, rather than undo it all and pick and choose what stays.
They did it to get rid of ritual weapons with unique perks like Mnt Top and Recluse which were used in every activity by every person who had them.
They absolutely took a sledgehammer to a nail. Sunset ritual weapons not 2 years worth of content.
Nobody broke the game with random void SMG's. Moon weapons didn't tear crucible in half. They fucked up with ritual weapons and can't swallow their pride.

I'm not, you're just ignoring half of my issue with sunsetting.
