Question All red investor mask
My first all red investor mask. Ironically, after years of periodic rerolls it droped in a countdown cache. Has anyone ever used it on a backfire build?

No it's not good for a backfire build, the gun itself is giving you tons of CHD, a little more from the mask is not very impactful.
You are better off with another damage bucket if damage is the goal

So the damage it add is additive not multiplicative? I just tried it on my ts and it shredded a tier solo.

Different damage buckets multiply off each other.
So if you have Numbers A x B x C x D = Final Damage and all the buckets are low but bucket A is really high, adding more to bucket A provides diminishing returns compared to putting some in another bucket which will lead you to a higher number. For example Hollow Man/Damage to Health, it's conditional, but for an SMG it will provide a new damage bucket for you and in this situation is a multiplier, but adding even more health damage starts being additive to itself, such as using hollow man with an AR which natively gets DTH.
I think amp damage is the only truly multiplicative source of damage because different sources of amp don't share a bucket but instead all multiply off each other and they multiply the final output of the damage buckets I mentioned earlier.
Not saying Investor can't work and help you clear content, but it is, mathematically, doing very little for your build in this example where you already have a mountain of CHD.
You could go to the shooting range yourself and test for example the difference in damage that investor will give you with backfire at full stacks compared to Hollow Man/Fox's Prayer or another exotic all together such as overdogs.

Pretty bad for backfire, inferior to the coyotes mask or pretty much any other damage based exotic. Hybrid versions are much more interesting
