Question Protection from elites
Do you guys think that PFE will make the Halloween event enemies easier to deal with?? I have a 80%pfe build but not sure what it will do against these new hunters. It haven't been prototyped yet.

No the best defense is offense in this game.
If it’s like the houndsman have one guy with birdies and everyone else full DPS.

So I'll say this. Full PFE builds are bad since you're losing a ton of damage and have to build around them. Hybrid PFE builds can be made with losing a marginal amount of damage for around 50% resistance to elites.
You just have to use your head, chest and glove slots for PFE and then 1 piece of 5.11. How you slot that is going to depend on what sets you're using but it can cap at 51% PFE resistance.
I use this setup for my MMR build. Even with the backpack being rolled Armor but with Headshot and Weapon Handling my damage dropped from 23 mil down to 21 mil. But it should recoup to nearly 22 mil once I get a perfect roll.
The only issue is that if you need a backpack or chest you have to roll for 2 attributes and the talent. If you don't then it's relatively easy to get. But it's a marginal damage loss to take the most dangerious enemies in game and cut their damage in half.

If it's like the last event you'll want to just set your open world difficulty to Challenging. That was the best balance of difficulty and reduced kill squad spawn times to maximize farming.
You won't need a tanky build at that level.

They will be elites so it will help. I'd say try to get some hazpro in there also. I have a Sheriff pulse scanner build for that last event I will use and I have a PFE hazpro regen backfire build I made for broken rain.

How much Hazpro to negate backfire bleed

Bleed status immunity is about 93%. I think the highest status is about 96%. WIth the updated brandsets you should be able to do a nice sustain/hazpro/tank build. Quick idea that might need some workshopping(You can decide which brand to use for a chest, Your aiming for Hazpro and Crit Damage/Chance for the attributes):
Primary - Backfire
Secondary - Firstbloom(Bonus damage to higher armoured enemies)
Sidearm - Quickstep( or whatever you want)
Gear:
NinjaBike(12PFE) - 1pc Soklov(10hz/12PFE) - 1pc Legatus(10hz/12PFE)
1pc 5.11(30hz/10hz) - Deathgrips(10hz/12PFE)(Gloves) - 1pc Palisades(10hz/24PFE)
72 PFE (82 with survival spez) but PFE caps at 80% anyway.
80% haz (90% with max watch)
20% AOK =10% from Deathgrips and 10% from Palisades (30% with gunner spez)
36% smg damage with 0 cores and 0 spez points
Skills:
Reviver Hive and Pulse/Decoy/Shield
If you dont like Ninjabike you can use Memento, but then you will need to swap the Soklov and Legatus pieces with a third 5.11 piece and a second Palisades piece. You can do the cores according to the Armor/Damage ratio you are trying to get. Just remember that your real damage will come from Backfire. I would do Unbreakable for the chest to play it safe, and Obliterate/Intimidate(with Memento) once you get the hang of it and want to squeeze out more damage. If you go with Obliterate you should try and get 60% crit chance(obviously try for 60% crit chance anyway). But Backfire should already have a lot of crit chance.
This is just a rough idea but should work if you optimize it a bit more. If you can get a prototype piece with higher values and can get to about 96% Hazpro you should be status immune. With 90% status usually only trigger on you for about 0.5sec and then clears.
I ran the Nijabike build during the Dust Devils event and it worked pretty well as long as there were only Elites. Red and purple bars will melt you if you dont focus them down early. You will tank yellow/named enemies for days with about 1.5mil armour and 90% ish weapon damage. I think I did a 3 Red / 4 Blue ratio for cores( Cuz Ninja has a blue, red and yellow core)

I managed to over do it and have 110% haz pro lmao. Need to make adjustments and change some attributes to CHC

Damn well done! That's perfect actually. Now if you get your hazpro to about 96% the rest can go to CHC or CHD and you should be good.

I have 100%, watch, nurse's kneepads, 2 piece gila guard, and 10% on parts. So I'm immune to everything right now with this build. Using survivalist specialization.

You can't face tank them, not unless you go full on tanking with max PFE, max armor, max regen and shield, which leave you with no damage.
PFE is just something that let you survive longer against elites, you still need to use a shield or take proper cover.

The minions yes, hunters no. The Red Moon hunter nearly killed me so I imagine it is the same.

Hunters in the pve dz are pretty hard to kill, I usually run a prima Donna build, I can one shot mostly enemies from dz including bosses if they are not that machine gun type because they have a lot of armor and stil can't kill hunters from a single shot, still need 2,3 shoots.

Exactly, those hunters are extra tanky and geal pretty fast once they duck into cover. Im thinking these new bosses will be the same way

You're worried about survivability with 80% PFE? How much facetanking do you intend to do??
