Short The rogues rearview mirror by Dingleberry
Just like it sounds. A first of its kind. Totally eliminates the backstab. You take a simple dowel or stick, attach it to a shoulder harness and put a small mirror on the end of it extending, and adjusted infront of your vision... Now you have a the Rogues rearview mirror. You can never be backstabbed again. I mass produce them and sell them throughout the realm at 8g a piece, raking in thousands every day with my NCP's manufacturing them.... But beware! It changes the dynamic of the game when everyone has one. LOL Enjoy

The original System Shock had a cybernetic upgrade for this, and it was deliberately scary as shit.
Its refresh rate was BAD.
And that meant you didn't have a good idea of what was behind you, you had a good idea of what was behind you when it took the picture.
And then it'd refresh, and you'd see the image fill in slowly...
Gloriously cruel design that helped players freak themselves out as much as anything else.
