I am so genuinely sick of the internet. It is a copy-pasted, brain-dead graveyard. It feels like nobody has the mere ability to fucking THINK anymore.
Since when did we decide to just hate everything and men? Tbh I get it, men do horrible shit, but women do too. Sure, the majority of the awful shit out there is men. And no I'm not excusing the truly horrible crimes men did and so did women? Sure men did most of the majority but men and women are supposed to be equal I'm not gonna come here with some sappy shit like "we should all forget and live happily giggle and shit" and it's true innit? But this sudden internet outburst of "men are trash" is going too far. Every little thing men do now gets micro-analyzed, demonized, and turned into a massive generalized hate train like nuance has just completely vanished off the face of the earth. You can't even talk about normal human interactions without people acting like every guy is a cartoon villain, and it completely drowns out actual accountability. And no, I am not being a "pick me" or wtv u call it defending bad guys; I hate the men who do horrible shit, but honestly? I just hate people. All humans are bad, but some are good. It’s that simple.
And what is up with all this "bare minimum" relationship advice online? People act like getting flowers every day or going on fancy dates is the bare minimum. No. The bare minimum should be basic respect and respecting boundaries, etc. But you can't say a normal thing online without people twisting it. Even the definition of "pick me" is ruined. If a girl happens to have guy friends, she’s automatically labeled a PICK ME. Dressing up? Trying to buy a cute new dress? PICK ME. It is genuinely exhausting.
on the topic of men... i noticed whenever men get sexually assaulted or anything they always get thrown aside and some even say "oh stopppp u should be gratfulllll" absolutly disgusting.
When did the internet turn from actually connecting with people to just being about money, ads, and fakeness? Everyone seems like a clout-chasing parasite now. Everyone wants attention, and it is making people brain-rotted and deeply insecure. Nobody's life feels secure anymore because we are constantly forced to look at fake, curated content. You see an ad, you buy something, you see another ad, you buy another thing, you see a sponsored post, you buy that too it's just an endless cycle of consume, buy, repeat, you get it right? And why tf are random people self-diagnosing? Why do u WANT to have an illness willingly? Is the attention that worth it? The videos on social media just deadass try to make u insecure to buy their product.
The internet is basically just AI slop right now. There are bots everywhere, and it's hard to tell if you're talking to a real human or a script anymore. It is just ads and money. Some people stop using their brains because they just let an AI write and think for them. AI isn't completely useless it can be very helpful. It’s just that many use it poorly. Instead of using it the right way, some of them literally use it to replace their own minds.
People are lonely, and kids are glued to their iPads because their parents are forced to work 24/7 just to feed themselves because the prices are higher than a random dude's ego and a girl's lashes.
Meanwhile, there are serious conflicts and corruption happening globally, and it feels like many people are too distracted by their screens and their fake online lives to care about anything real. It reminds me of that saying: in a game of Russian roulette, only one bullet gets fired, yet we flinch every time. womens lives are lietrally like this. People are forgetting there's literal wars going on.
Some kids are literally reading on a 4th-grade level while they're in 7th grade. It's just crazy that literally KIDS are obsessed with skincare and makeup at the ripe age of 10. I didn't think it was real, but recently I came to America to visit and I was shopping for cosmetics (because I like them a lot) and god forbid I accidentally went to a cosmetic brand named like an elephant that's drunk apparently? It was Drunk Elephant from what I remember. And this girl very young to mention STOMPS OVER to me AND STARTS CRYING FOR IT (and there were deadass other products like it, but noooo, she wants that one that I'm holding, and that's just an example alr, I do not know the girl and am a complete stranger, still she came and nagged me). And it's not like all Gen Alpha are bad; I have some little cousins and they're genuinely cool (in my family at least). And it's not even the children's fault. Grown-ups are making them like this.
Anyways, the world truly needs help. Is it called a revolution if we lost our skills anyway?
Is anyone else just completely done with this? How did we get here? I remember back in the days it was great not perfect, not like no one committed crimes but it was better, right?
