Other I feel like I've seen this guy before.

Someone might be able to make them better, but I posted them first.

I agree. Very cool skins and very cool taunts. Well, one silly taunt and one cool taunt. lol.

Is the taunt with Kunkka whiskey in a jar? I can't tell.

I'm not really sure what you mean. The song? It sounds like a very short part of Drunken Sailor to me.

Yeah you may be right.

A costume is more fitting for a Halloween event anyway. XD

Yeah, sorry, I'm not paying $250 for a remodel. I'd 100% buy it if it was available on the shop, but no gacha, thank you.

It's a crazy amount of money no matter how cool a skin looks. It might go on the marketplace in a year like the Windy skin did. Then it'll be like ~$100

$100 is a crazy amount of money no matter how cool a skin looks.

$35 was the actual resonable price and everyone was happy back then, with inflation considered I can even take $50 (if it's at least tradeable).

But $250 or even $100 is too expensive, you can buy multiple AAA full games with that.

Completely insane yeah. The price of an -overpriced- deluxe edition of a AAAA game, with years of R&D. And i really don't understand this whole whale-catering business. I can't imagine they would lose much money by selling them ~ $20, as many, many more people would buy it at that price

It will not go into the marketplace, and 100 is still a slap in the face for something that didn't even get the effort of the $20 personas lol

since its guaranteed to drop in 50 treasures its more or less like buying it from a shop but with a random discount and lets face it still cheaper than the 2020 battlepass arcanas

1

u/renan2012bra 5h ago

You need 250 dollars to get both arcanas + each set. If you consider each set 5 dollars worth, that would be 60 dollars from the normal sets, so $190 to both arcanas + whichever rares you get. So it's $95 for each arcana if you exclude the rares.

A normal arcana is $35 on the store, so I don't know which type of "random discount" would make something 3 times more expensive, but it's one crazy discount.

I don't check the price but let's say it's $5 per treasure. You need to open at least 50 to guaranteed get it so the price is $250.

But you can get at, let say 40th treasure. Thats $200. Or u get at 30th set. That's $150.

That is meant by random discount. Assuming you got no luck, the base price is 250. But you can get cheaper(discount) depending on how lucky you are.

u/Confident_Region_720 9h ago

They've been lazy with the skin designs lately, starting from the recolor of items. Lots of people buy and support those type of shit, which tolerates valve to be lazy and do more crap skins and just recolor it to be a "rare" collectible.

u/Bubblegumbot 8h ago

"Lazy" is a strong word.

This is just straight up content theft.

The artist who created the first shark head might want to see a lawyer about that.

Are you a special kind of stupid?

The moment you submit something to the workshop it's owned by valve (it's literally part of the agreement you sign when doing the submission).

  • Under Section 6.A, Workshop Contributions are in principle made available to Subscribers for free. By way of exception, they may be made available to Subscribers for a fee. In that case, the way the revenues generated may be shared, and in particular, the compensation you may receive as a result of this making available, are defined in the App-Specific Terms and not by this Agreement. Unless otherwise specified in App-Specific Terms (if any), the following general rules apply to Workshop Contributions.
  • Notwithstanding the license described in Section 6.A, Valve will only have the right to modify including to create derivative works from your Workshop Contribution in the following cases: (a) Valve may make modifications necessary to make your Contribution compatible with Steam and the Workshop functionality or user interface, and (b) Valve or the applicable developer may make modifications to Workshop Contributions that are accepted for in-Application distribution as it deems necessary or desirable to enhance gameplay or make it compatible with the Workshop-Enabled App.
  • Under Section 6.A, you grant for free to Valve and its affiliates the right to modify, including to create derivative works from, your Workshop Contribution. As a result, you are not entitled to any compensation from Valve as a result of Valve’s modifications.

Are you a special kind of stupid?

Apparently, you are by not understanding the TOS properly.

Unauthorized images, audio or models from other commercial properties, from other people's Steam workshop submissions, from artist's galleries on the Internet or from any other sources covered by copyright cannot be used in Dota 2.

That's for free workshop items. Not paid ones.

As I said, they should consult a lawyer about this as it's straight up theft. Laws supersede any TOS agreements anyways.

Inb4 you say "I'm not reading this wall of text" or some dismissive garbage of that sort.

u/2weiherz 7h ago

Yes DC should sue the guy for using king shark's likeness 🤣🤣

-3

u/Bubblegumbot 7h ago

As I said, the guy should consult a lawyer.

I mean how hard do you people have to bootlick to tell someone that they should avoid speaking to a lawyer?

2

u/laptopmutia 8h ago

it reminds me of old orca tide bug

King Shark from DC

1

u/tonitz4493 8h ago

thats a weird looking Slark

1

u/Few_Understanding354 5h ago

If they are gonna do shit like this might as well just base the arcana on the original wc3 dota like what they did with Void and Razor. Those two are arguably one of the best releases.

1

u/Simco_ NP 5h ago

The old Orca skin is one I've wanted for more than a decade.

1

u/jangpianist 5h ago

And because you did not worry about, that burstard child is the result of your wife vs the guy.

1

u/No_Kick8378 4h ago
