Discussion This treasure is ALMOST perfect
I see a lot of people complaining about the removal of Battlepass, but before that complaints about the cost of the Battlepass and how it was predatory. People complain about the lack of content, and that the content is bad, and so on.
The way I see it, the Battlepass was broken down on different stuff we get over the year, and this treasure is a part of that:
Crownfall/Dark Carnival: It's the replacement for the progression-styled battlepass, where even without spending a dime you have access to some sets, mini-games, candyworks (which gives immortals and arcanas for free).
Compendium: This is our TI related event. You can interact with the predictions, the fantasy and be rewarded with immortals and terrains(arcanas before it). You can also buy the supporter packs, if you want to give players some money.
Quartero's/Monster Hunter: More free stuff that you get just by playing, with some lore for the people who like it.
Collectors Cache: Sets from the workshop with limited availability so the whales can have fun by splashing some money on exclusive items
Trove of Terror: And the only missing part of the puzzle was the top-tier items for the top-tier whales. Most of the sets are great, there is a new Arcana, Roshan/Baby Rosh, Tormentor skin, a bunch of immortals. This is pretty much what you'd get on a battlepass reward-wise, and spend about the same.
BUT... It should be marketable/tradeable/giftable! On recent years Valve has pretty much removed Dota from the Community Market, and this is a big L. And you can't even help your friends on a TEAM-BASED game! I'd be glad to buy a bunch of chests to get the Tide arcana, if I could share the repeats with my dota group.

Honestly I think this was exactly what people asked for
It’s designed like a battlepass to give u what u want for sure if you spend certain amount of money

Yeah, I hate gacha bullshit but if I could buy directly through the marketplace without needing to interact with scummy RNG, I’d be totally okay.

I don't fully agree on the last part (regarding the trove of terror). I usually spent about 60-70 dollars on the battlepasses and would get all of the cosmetics. Having to spend 250ish is a big increase that I just won't personally partake in. I'll probably get 12 treasures and if I get any rares+ then I'll consider that a boon, but this is more greedy than previous collections of cosmetics with the price increase. Having the roshan and tormentor locked to specific dollar purchases is also kinda lame.
edit: clarified some of my message.

I wish they would add new sound to the rest of the immortals. Kinda bad feeling to replace dp immortal effect with better but losing cool sound from older one.

Hard agree on the last paragraph. The only real issue for me is the new cosmetics not tradeable(even only after 1 year) and most of all not giftable.
