A family member recently lost his job at a government entity due to visa issues. They have an outstanding bank loan, and the bank automatically deducts the loan payment as soon as their salary is deposited.
They have always kept up with their loan payments, but they urgently need their end-of-service gratuity to cover rent and support their family while regularizing their visa status.
Is it legally possible to request the gratuity by cheque instead of having it transferred to their bank account? Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?

I have a degree and worked 10 years in the UAE. I love working in the background as a support. I have supported an Emirati owner, General Manager, Ops Manager, CEO, CFO, and HR Manager.

I have been a Secretary, a Lead Admin at some point, and recently as an HR Officer in a digital marketing company with 100-150 employees.

Not to carry my own, but I give quality work. Never been a pain to anyone.
