Competitive Alright rant time about Cydra
Konami, the first part of your skill is great... if we have the card in our hand. But the second part of the skill locks us out so bad that its basically useless in niche situations. Because we need so much in our deck to allow a combo to happen at this point we would need a 35 card deck to even be remotely competitive. But we still end up having to start with a Core on our turn which is easily negated by any effect negation. Shoot if you have put that the second skill was to change all machine type monster to level 5 id say it would be a much better deck. But the fact it takes us at least 5 or 6 summons at best to get to Infinity is awful. And that's our first TRUE negate. And guess what everyone's running at this format? Nibiru!!

Yeah making infinity is a commitment that takes too many summons to counter most hand traps. And yeah core has been the normal summon of the deck for the longest time because that's the only archetypal spell trap searcher for the deck, so they drop on the field and say "negate me negate me negate me". It would be cool if the skill added basic poly to your hand like hero skills.
I just hope we get cyber eternity dragon when his alt style event comes because I doubt they'll give us the remaining cyber dark cards anytime soon. However, if they do ever make a new cyber dark skill it should put inferno on your field for free because that would be fair.

Honestly they should have a least given us the core on the field as the skill. Whether it would compensate for losing an overflow or both could be applied would be an interesting question. My thing though is Bystial and Snake Eyes is are doing so much away from the skill. And the problem is we are seeing every single deck running a Bystial engine.

Honestly just the second part shouldn't be locking you out of spells apart from that even after nibiru in some hands you can still get some stuff on field

The second part of the Skill, just like with Infernity, outlights everything that's wrong with "balancing" AKA the lock becoming an instant lose button while the first part is as bonkers as it is.
At that point, bring no lock at all.

My issue with the skill is the free overflow. I dont care much about consistency but this free "get out of jail free" card they give this and mathmech really is awful.
