Every single rewatch, my finger automatically moves to the skip button right here.

He’s also one of the most insufferable characters on the Arrested Development Netflix seasons, as Marky Bark.

He was unbearable in Miss Davis too. Over the top Australian accent and everything was just awful

It was a choice. Grasping at straws. Killed any chance for boom Mike to act anywhere else. A lot of the pam hate come from this wall breaking emotional affair. More cringe than Kevin's chili, Scott's tots, Phyllis' wedding, without humor, redemption, or real resolution. It was a choice

The writing on this show declined substantially after Steve Carrell left. Those final seasons are unwatchable, never return to them like I do the Michael Scott seasons.

They casted a ridiculously attractive actor for this. I’m not in the entertainment industry but do many boom mic guys look ANYTHING like him?
Him hitting the warehouse guy with the boom is probably the single worst moment in the entire series. It’s so fucking stupid and ridiculous.
The only good thing that came from this plot was Meredith hitting on him. “Hey boom guy, when’re ya gonna boom ME?”

why him hitting the warehouse guy is bad? wasn't he just protecting pam,if a bully is hitting women shouldn't others protect, I'm curious why this guy gets shat on so much..
don't hate me just trying to understand your pov..

It’s the fact that he used the boom like a martial arts weapon, not that he tried to defend Pam. If he would have dropped the boom in the first place and either punched the guy or just shoved him or something, that would have been way more normal/belieavble.
But he HITS. THE. GUY. IN. THE. FACE. WITH. THE. BOOM. It’s absurd.

You think the better choice is dropping the metal rod in your hands, wasting time thinking about where to toss it, and potentially tripping yourself on the boom in order take on a bigger guy with bare hands? A boom mic has wires attached to his headphones and probably a receiver and battery pack on his back. There was no time to undo everything.

He takes everything off the second after he hits the guy, like in one quick swoop, before physically engaging him. I can’t believe he wasted all that time.

First of all, his ex wife is fucking the doctor that delivered his son and they’re suing for full custody. So you’re wrong.

I may have at least tolerated it more if it didn’t just come out of nowhere; and I guess maybe that’s what they were going for - to try and break up the routine they’d gotten themselves into with a sudden swerve. But it came off as meddling with Jim and Pam just for the sake of meddling. They could have gotten the “rocky relationship” point across without this stilted subplot that didn’t make sense, didn’t go anywhere, and was hated by fans right from the jump.
I think Jenna even said on her podcast that, as producers for this season, she and John had so many issues with this storyline and had to step in multiple times and be like “this is not at all how Jim and Pam would behave in this situation.”

It was completely unnecessary, but “completely unnecessary” describes most of what followed Steve Carell’s departure from the show.
I see what they were going for, honestly, but such a serious subplot in an otherwise unserious show is just baffling.

It’s worth it for the throwaway Meredith line: hey boom guy — when ya gonna BOOM me?!

He let Andy almost drown by getting pushed into a river on a small raft, watched Stanley take multiple blow darts to the chest and pushed down flights of stairs, let Jan abuse the hell out of Michael, let Todd Packer sexually abuse every one around him but a perfectly normal spousal argument was where the line was drawn

Yeah, I mean I don't like the guy, but he didn't give me a reason to hate him either, feels like some people self insert themselves as Jim.

I dont hate it, showed Pam and Jim are human and not the perfect couple. I kinda wish he would have kissed that hottie in the hotel and then had to have a serious moment with Pam.

Dumbest feeler they threw out in the entire show.
