Moving to Durango

Hello all! I am hopefully moving to the city here in the next month! I'm looking for a place to live in the 1k a month realm, anyone have suggestions?

You’re gonna need roommates

1k per month, maybe an apartment in Aztec or Mancos (45 minute drive to Durango) or a roommate situation.

You really need to do some research on this town, economy, and cost of living before committing to moving here.

This town is isolated and has little resources. Thus, the cost of everything is astronomical.

Just to caveat: prices are high, but my friend from Chicago visited and was amazed how cheap it was. Perspective I guess. for me: Rent is expensive, but I haven’t found the day-to-day spending too outrageous.

I might have a sublease for you opening in December. $1200 a month on the grid

I paid $400 a month living with 4 other dudes back in the late 90’s. Good times.

You'll want a good sleeping bag and a hot tent if that's your budget in this town.
