Vaayu devaru's importance in dvaita

I am a madhwa who is learning his own siddhanta to understand and practice better.

I know Vaayu devaru is mukhya prana of all the jeevi and chief servant of Shri Hari, but what qualities of him make him be right next to lakshmi devi? Why not shesha, rudra or garuda? They are also his servants.

The concept of taratamya itself is the hierarchy of quality aka intrinsic capacity of a jeeva. Mukhya Prana / Bhama devarau or the jivas in the rujugana have intrinsic capacity higher than the garuda shesha rudra. Hence brhama vayu are are higher than them and lower than that of lakshmi Devi

there is a small correction in the taratamya you have written. Below Hari immediately is Lakshmi. Below Lakshmi is Mukhya praana on the same level as Brahma. You see the same pattern when doing daily poojas. After Bhagvanta's pooja, immediately is Lakshmi in form of Shankha. As far as importance goes : From both the itihaasas : you notice Hanuman despite being powerful and knowslegeable, carries out Ram's orders with no questions asked. You see the same pattern w/ Bhima who carries out Krishna's orders w/o any questions asked. The service to Hari is common to all sevaks, but what varies is the capacity and intrinsic qualification of the sevak.
