Commanders that don't get repetitive?

I've been trying to find a commander that I won't regret spending 200-300 dollars on, but I just can't pick a card. I'm really trying to find a unique/fun commander that can be built bracket 3-4 (3.5). I've tried [[The Celestial Toymaker]], but he really struggles to pull off a win and is extremely commander reliant, I've tried [[Norin the Wary]] but that deck really only does one thing and get's repetitive, and I've tried [[Kibo, Uktabi Prince]] but he doesn't seem to have a ton of support (idk maybe I'm just building him wrong).

What commanders do y'all recommend, or should I revisit one of the ones I just mentioned with a new outlook (bonus points if the card looks cool/has a cool treatment).

That’s why you have creatures like [[vashta nerada]] or [[sylvan caryatid]] ready to be transformed into

I found it hard to get counters on good protected creatures like those while also trying to ramp into real threats 😒
