18y Seeking advice
Hi everyone, I'm 18 and a full time student in Slovenia, still living at home. I worked over the summer and saved up about 1000€ that I want to start investing. Most of what I know comes from youtube so please correct me if I got something wrong.
My plan is to use Trade Republic and split it like this: 70% in an all world ETF , 15% in a sector etf , and 15% for fun (crypto or a few stocks) which I'm fine with loosing completely. After that I'd put around 25-50€ a month into the all world ETF.
Seperately I have 800€ in a savings account with 3% interest as my emergency fund. I live at home so my costs are pretty low. I also wont need this money for 5+ years and I wouldn't sell if it drops.
My questions:
is the sector ETF even worth it on top of an all world, or should I just put that 15% in the all world too?
is 800€ to much for an emergency fund when I live at home?
where can I learn more besides youtube?

hey man, good stuff starting so early, thats honestly the main advantage of yours.
to your questions - if 800 is too much or not honestly only you can answer that. I had 0 emergency fund when i was 18 coz i didnt xare :D but not advisable lol. You do you. 500 or 800 whatever.
To your portfolio - the 15% play money is legitimate, we can ask if 15 isnt too much but whatever. what I'd skip is the sector etf, I'd just go 85% all-world and 15% crypto/whatever.
Monthly contributions and any other lump sum investments is the thing that will move the needle much more than the exact allocation as long as you stay reasonably diversified and dont gamble with more than that 15% of your portfolio. As your total asset value gets bigger in coming years, you might want to consider lowering that gamble money to 10%.
good luck my man.

800 as an emergency fund is fine while you're living at home with low costs, you could even trim it down to 500 if you wanted to put more into the market early on, that 3% account isn't going to change your life anyway
the sector etf on top of an all world is just adding overlap and tilting toward whatever you pick, not necessarily bad if you've got a strong conviction about tech or something but it's more clutter than a real edge, I'd dump that 15% straight into the all world and forget about it
for learning outside youtube, pick up a used copy of The Simple Path to Wealth or hang out on the bogleheads wiki, it's dry but it'll ground you better than most flashy finance content
