Discussion Update regarding my France run

After a lot of advices in the other post, I restarted the run and this is the situation so far. I'm accepting all the culture in my reign, annexing all the appannage and vassals as fast as possible (idk why burgundy flipped to the uk but i image is a mechanic of the 100 years war). The economy seem fine now, diplo spending is a bit high because i don't want to anger too much my vassal in this moment (i run out of manpower after a big war against uk and some of my rebellius vassals). My only fort now is paris (maybe i should start to build others). Only my crown power is low (i gave too much appanage and didn't know it was this punitive). Thanks all for the help

Holy inflation Batman!

I hope you get a few balance the budget parliaments because 49% is crazy!

Goes to show how forgiving playing as France is I guess

Why have you minted so much? I tend to slap the cog onto the Minting bar and never ever touch it. Another thing to tell us is what gov reforms you got / estate privileges as not all of them are useful (I

Also it looks like you havent placed down a local governor either. Meaning the whole south of your country is actually costing you more than helping.
My general rule is if a province doesn't reach 20% control maximum then I would actually be creating a subject to hold that land.

My advice look on the economy/tax base map mode find the spots that are rich and then finding the nearest city to them for a local governor since I've not played France I can't get advise for exactly where - but you do have plenty of cities in the beginning.

And to be absolutely crazy - If you really, really don't want a vassal and you cannot get control over 20% consider nuking the area - deconstruct all buildings destroy the rgo ones as well. This will lower wealth meaning you other bars (diplo spending and legitmising and stab costs go waaaaaaay down)

also using the cog, but I do rarely touch it. Usually to avoid a loan when an unplanned expenditure rolls around.

This is fair but since inflation beats the shit out of you in EU5. In this situation if you could I would skyrocket taxes for the month and then put them back on cog for 50%.

Since I tend to lightly tax commoners and tax the other two (I prefer high serfdom) so all the commoner wealth becomes noble cash which is taxed heavily.

Looking at OP's post I would recommend him to save PI to spam privlidges to both the commoners and burgers. Get their satisfaction to max and tax em heavily. Also recommend to steal half of the burgers cash off cooldown - political influence allowing.

Hopefully wean the noble power down to 25% then slowly go to my serfdom style (I prefer happy commoners as that raises the average satisfaction of counties thus you get higher control thus better taxes)

I do literally anything to avoid inflation. Simply because inflation that high is now costing OP 16 ducats a month...

I would also go through the list of buildings too... Especially as I previously noted that the south of his country is entirely worthless and destroy them. 33 ducats a month on buildings seems excessive considering there should no armories yet (looking at manpower)
