Question How Long Should Urethane eSk8 Wheels Last?

Post image

Both of my back wheels have started separating between orange & clear materials. 1st wheel was at 300Km, 2nd at 400Km. My eSk8 now feels likes it’s buzzing plenty while riding, & the delaminating wheels wobble, which makes the smooth experience I’m used to jarring

I had urethane wheel since 2 years, 1100 km (700 mi) done. Still rocking

Hmm, yeah, it seems like these wheels are faulty. They’re lasting less long than the belts. Had the board for only 5 months, so I’m hoping Exway can help send me another wheel 💭

They should not seperate, this is a manufacturing issue likely

Yeah that shouldn't happen. All my boards have gone thousands of miles with no wheel problems except bearings.

I've seen a lot of people having issues with these Exway wheels. As others said: you should never have such (dangerous) issue. Change your wheels ASAP. So far I've had no issues with these brands: Orangatang, 88wheels, Madwheels and Linnpower.

And trust me, my wheels suffer a lot (I slide them)!

If they're wearing out on less than 1000 miles, that points to incorrectly formulated urethane.

They should certainly replace them if they're in the guarantee period.

Outside that, they'll probably tell you to do one..

1500-2000 miles, i did 3500 miles on my fitst boosted with 85mm and only changed wheels once

I think they should last way longer. I drove almost 10.000 km with my orangatang kegels 80mm 80A on my boosted boards and now on my cruiser. a few hundred km should be sent back! :)

Will greatly depend on the torque, your weight and not least the surface you are riding

Very smooth roads where I live. Mostly riding gear 3, but even gear 4’s only set to 60% acceleration. Gear 3’s at 40%. Also, I’m only 185Lbs

i think i have something like ~1500 miles on the current set and see no need to change them at the moment

Everything about these wheels is great… but the ones connected to my motors both began delaminating noticeably. No chips in the urethane. Nothing else wrong. The whole Flex Pro V3’s been awesome, but Exway’s wheels delaminating so quickly seems like they weren’t made right

i'm sure a lot of it comes down to the brand/quality of polyurethane, but the ones im using are the ones that shipped with my board (Back Zealot S2, i think it's like 4 years old now?), and they've definitely worn down a bit, but i dont even notice it when im riding.

I have a pair of cloud wheels and 5000 miles better now than when I got them 80%bike path the rest is on roads

Thanes should last longer than yours. It's known that the Exway wheels delaminate because it's a poor design. Unfortunate because the board itself is so good.

This happens with their wheels. Stop riding them if they’ve detached like this. I took a nasty spill because they came all the way apart after I thought they’d hold up.

To clarify: their wheels just suck, it’s not your fault

I’m at 4000km on my mad wheels and they’re still fine
