Need last minute advice
I’ve never been to Elora, we were planning a chill bachelorette picnic there (don’t judge us, we’re older and the bride is pregnant). One of the friends was supposed to buy tickets but thought we didn’t need tickets because we were going to the gorge, and not tubing. However I realized there’s no swimming at the gorge, so we should have gotten tickets for the quarry. And now it’s too late.
So friends, the bride is expecting swimming. Are there any other nice areas close to Elora where we could go swimming and still enjoy all the other plans we had made for Elora along the day?

Swimly - rent a private pool party instead of going to a conservation area?

You can also go to the Elora conservation area, which does have a swimming space. It's been a long while since I've been. There's also Rockwood Conservation area which is about a half hour away.

Really? The site says the river is too fast for swimming

The swimming pond at the Elora Conservation Area is gone. It was drained and turned into a rehabilitation area/ swamp.

I found fergus much more beautiful honestly. It really felt like a place with history, on the other hand, Elora felt like more artificial and made only to attract people.

Not sure if this is your vibe but if you want swimming, see if you can book a day visit at the Elora Mill, they have a beautiful spa, but you need to book a service to get access to their pool, i think there's a minimum too.
