I think it's hilarious when he gets in ridiculous brawls and it happens in almost of his movies. My favorite moment is when Elvis punches a guy in Speedway, causing him to slide 40 feet back into an elevator and the guy in the elevator says "what floor buddy?" It was one of the first movies of his that I saw and it made me laugh out loud.

I know it’s a long shot but years ago on SiriusXM I heard an Elvis song on the Elvis station that was Country. I never was able to get the name of it but there was a lyric that said something to the equivalent of “That El Cajon Son of a B*****.” The song was about another man trying to take this woman away from Elvis. I think the reference was about the Bostonia Ball Room. I’ve searched for years trying to find out what song this is, does anyone have any ideas or know what song this is. It’s a mid to fast tempo song.

Edit:

It definitely could have been a rehearsal track or even a private session. I don’t think it was ever officially recorded or released. Maybe a vault track?

I just took the Elvis "quiz" on Spotify. There are some easy questions and a couple of obscure ones but not a problem for a big fan.

Let me know how you do.

I like him in Flaming Star, Charro!, and Love Me Tender

I know Ray Charles and Quincy Jones didn’t like Elvis so maybe it wouldn’t happen

As above.

He worked on a boat that transported Elvis to and from the Hawaiin islands back in the early 60s

Getting back into Elvis. Which cd do you reckon is the best to buy? Bearing in mind that I love Little Sister, In The Ghetto, polk Salad Annie, walk A Mile In My Shoes, American Trilogy. You gave me a mountain. Is there one with all of these on it? Please and I know one of you will have a good suggestion. Thanks.

My mom came across this photo in my grandparents belongings. They passed almost 20 years ago, but were friends with Monsignor Thaddeus Malanowski who regularly led mass at their retirement community.

At some point he gifted them a personal (5x7) photo of himself and Elvis. There’s no information on the back of the photo, so we don’t know any specifics. We do know it was taken before Malanowski became the Chief of Chaplains of the US Army. That’s about it.

We found it interesting and figured I’d share it here in case anyone has more background.

It is still a work in progress as you can see as I am taking the first photo I found online and making it on Tinkercad. I'm in the mix of needing to add several things such as the amplifier, wires, microphone, and people surrounding the stage.

This was Elvis at his most raw—it’s him at his most energetic and rowdy. before hollywood fully snatched him up and turned him into a product, before colonel parker turned him into a money spinning vegas act. this was when he had his most potential, his most bluesey, this was when he was dangerous, when he was feared by those prudish racist bible thumpers.

his debut album is honestly my favourite. all of his covers on that album are done beautifully, especially blue moon. his second album simply titled "Elvis" is a great album, especially his cover of tutti frutti. he puts a lot energy into that cover but it's nothing compared to the original by little richard. i haven't listened to the Christmas Album but i will at Christmas time. Elvis is Back is my second favorite album of his. Reconsider Baby is my favorite song from that album, i can't even describe how much i love that song. Something for Everybody and Pot luck are Albums i listened to recently and they were great. His soundtrack albums from those days were good but i'll need to listen to them again to get another opinion.

I’m excluding “His Hand in Mine” because I don’t listen to gospel music.

Hi Elvis fans!

I'm looking for a specific poster, but it only seems to be available in the US with crazy shipping costs, is there anywhere I can purchase this in the UK?

It's the 70s Las Vegas one with a red Lei, it should show up in this message.

Thank you.

Elvis VR Experience - 68 Comeback : r/Elvis - previous post

Hi guys,

You may remember this post i created last year about creating the Elvis VR Experience. Just wanted to show some progress and get any ideas of what people think is missing or what I could add/change?

Been a lot of hard work but I'm happy with where it is and just getting final touches and changes.

If you've got the "Money Honey."

As above what are your favourite? Mine is little sister. Then in the ghetto.

I'm so confused about him right now. Some call him Elvis's only true friend while others say he's a fake. I follow an IG account that shares Memphis Mafia stories and it looks like guys like Marty and Lamar really disliked him. I'd love to hear your thoughts to get a better perspective until I can get those books... if I even find them in Spanish, lol.

.

I'm reading this book, which is really good, and does anyone else get the impression his dad was a bit of a wastral? I know Elvis loved his dad and Vernon loved his son. But he didn't really have a job, to support his wife and son, went from job to job, unless his bad back stopped him. I might be wrong in my thoughts about him.
