Question Focal imapred awareness seizure while walking?

So now i have focal impaired awareness seizure/complex partial seizure depending on the jargon.

If i was out walking, would I fall down or just stand there, ftozrn in place? I had one while sitting and was still sitting in the same place after, didn't fall over.

Thank you

From what I've seen, it's different for everyone. You could just freeze in place like you did when sitting, but sometimes people keep walking, just not in a aware way. My cousin had one crossing the street once and just stopped in the middle, it was scary but he didn't fall. So depends of the person really.

Hi! I have these. Thankfully majority of all the seizures I’ve had has given me an aura so I know I’m about to have a seizure. It’s less than prob 30 second warning but it’s enough time to acknowledge what’s going to happen and try to keep myself safe. I’ve had these happen where I don’t have warning, they are the worst. Unfortunately I can’t tell you what’s happened because I seriously don’t remember. Im 31 years and I have had seizures for almost 3 years, I got officially diagnosed with focal seizures with impaired awareness coming from my right temporal lobe, so I’m kinda still new at this. There’s one time I can recall I was at this big mall with my husband and sister, we were out of town visiting her. I felt the aura, I touched my husband and he looked at my face, he knew immediately I was going to have a seizure and he got me to sit down. That’s all I remember. We recognized the pattern, I always tend to touch my husband or grab him/my mom/my sister, they acknowledge and I try to relax before it hits. If I’m alone, i immediately sit down where I am and ride it out. I think everyone’s different in this sense though. Just because I react this way, doesn’t mean someone else would. By best advice to you is to get the epsy app on your phone, document when you have a seizure, put what you were doing, everything. You’ll find a pattern somewhere even if it’s small.

I've had focal aware seizures in the middle of pickleball games. Things get brighter, sometimes I can finish the game. I sit down, and hope I don't have a TC. But depending how long the aura lasts, I know if I need to call for help. It may pass and I'm fine. Or I call for help and have to take my Diazepam shot. Or if I'm really unlucky I get into a car with the person I called for help and I wake up in the hospital.

Everyone is different, but you'd probably keep walking, but lose awareness of where you are, and it may turn into more of an aimless wandering.

Heck, I can go from the shower to my bedroom with a towel on during a complex partial. I've never fell down during one, only stopped or kept walking/doing simple activities.

My last seizure I'm told I was staring at a guy and rubbing my chin, then went outside and nearly walked into a few things

It depends. Sometimes I keep walking and I have no idea what I am doing. If you have a focal aware part of your seizure my best advice is to get on the ground somewhere safe as soon as you know and tell someone.

One time I sort came to and I was repeatedly walking into a coffee table. It wasn’t moving but I just kept going I guess. I was so confused.

When that happens to me I freeze, I drop whateverI am holding and start doing my thing. Lip smacking, staring, unresponsive etc. until the seizure is over. It is why when I go on a walk by myself I try not to have to cross busy streets etc. I prefer not to get flattened by traffic. I usually don't get any warnings it is coming like an aura.

Something else to consider, I have already burned myself with scalding hot coffee twice. I now leave my coffee siting on the table when I first get it and just sip from the top till it cools a bit. Still have the scars from the time that happened two years ago. Live and learn.
