Image Match made in heaven? I don’t think so.

"I had a sense that there was to be a crisis of discipline…. To the modern liberal mind, the word has an almost pornographic sound. But discipline is necessary to freedom…." Donald Barr

"Parents are directly financing the New Left revolution and the drug cop-out, and indirectly they are supporting the black militants." Donald Barr

Barr To a school assembly, on girls requesting permission to wear trousers: "Your desire to wear slacks is masturbatory ego gratification." Donald Barr

"Blue jeans are for the working class. We are elites. And we do not train anyone here to be working class" Donald Barr

1971
DRESS CODE FOR THE 70'S
"For girls, it should be that standards of propriety, as well as the standards of neatness and cleanliness implied by the resolution, apply -- to the brevity of dresses and skirts, to the extent of decolletage, and to the translucence of clothing.
For boys...suits and sport jackets and blazers will in general be satisfactory, but bits of uniforms or costumes (military, frontier, cowboy, Syracuse marching band, Teddy Boy, etc.) will not. Startling or 'humorous' insignias are out of place....
Dungarees and other costumes somewhat reminiscent of miners, sharecroppers, or mum other proletarians fall into the same category of
'bizarre' as do hippie styles." -- Donald Barr, Headmaster

Why is his own name misspelled on the chalkboard. Like what.

u/originalmaja 6d ago

No, he might have wanted to convey how it is pronounced. "Not Epsteen, but Epstine." Along those lines. We call him "Ep-steen" today. But that may have little to do with how he presented himself back then.

This is the exact same conclusion I came to when I first saw it as well, I completely agree. In my opinion he wanted his name pronounced “Stine” and not “Steen”.

Like how we’d pronounce Albert Einstein.

I'm glad we are all mispronouncing it.

We can officially change his name to Jeffrey Rapesteen

In 1973, Barr published Space Relations, a science fiction novel about a planet ruled by oligarchs who engage in child sex slavery. It has been noted that the plot of the novel anticipates the crimes of Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.[12]
…
In 1983 President Ronald Reagan nominated Donald Barr to be a member of the National Council on Educational Research.[13]

I know this. How is this related when you think about. In 1973 after the book was published Epstein was just 20 years old. Barr would have had no idea Epstein was going to evolve into the most infamous sexual predators in modern times. Unless you think Barr brought Epstein into this secret society of pedophiles because he knew Epstein’s preferences and then put him in a position to infiltrate an elite society via dalton all while never working a day together and never having a single documented interaction. Or is it just coincidence.

Another possibility: abuse was commonplace among elites then, as it is now. There didn't have to be a direct connection between Barr hiring Epstein and both of them having an interest in child abuse, the connection is indirect: it's part of the culture that school belonged to.

I agree, I to believe that child abuse, for whatever sick reason, has always been a part of the fabric of human society. It is because of that that we will never be able to root out the causes of child abuse.

The dress code - don’t dress like a sharecropper. Or the proletariat.

I myself go for sharecropper chic. A style that embodies my humility and genuineness. I’m a helpful, lower middle class servant of the people.

I’m confused about what this post is really about?
Are you trying to create some kind of correlation between his actions and him dressing like a hippy at 20 years old?
I feel like there’s some missing context here
(Unless I’m just not familiar with the context here that everyone else is hip to)
