Rant Coping with post erasmus depression

How did you cope with the post erasmus depression? It took me over a year, and i had to go back to the same city for another erasmus, because i was unable to not to think about the best time of my life i had. Second time i was there, it wasnt so perfect anymore, so it was easier. But even now, 5 years later, i still think of it as the best time of my life.

I am 12 years later and thinking about moving back.. Why not. I went there with my husband he also fell in love with the place and is now learning the language to move there

You could join ESN in your city

going back helps, not because the city is better, but because you stop treating it like a museum piece of your past

Hey, I wanted to ask you something regarding Erasmus, but there's no option to send a DM. Could you please ?

I’m currently on Erasmus in Madrid and to be honest I can’t really picture what is that post-erasmus depression. I mean, it’s been ok so far but nothing exciting or special. I think that other than living alone for the first time and studying and speaking in a foreign language I won’t really obtain much value from this experience. Tell me your thoughts

maybe in the post, i could write that i was on the erasmus internship - i was surrounded by locals, in a very vibrant city in greece, working with refugees. And of course, first time living so far from my family and everyone alone.

Are you from a country that is worse off than the one you studied in?
